One of the most commonly asked question by a patient who comes for extraction especially in the rural areas is whether the procedure will cause problems to the eye!! In reality however, ophthalmic complications following routine maxillary molar extractions are practically unheard of. When they occur they can be extremely unnerving not just to the patient but also to the surgeon. Patients generally panic which makes it tougher for the clinician to assess the situation.

Vestibuloplasty techniques are widely carried out to make the denture bearing area more suitable and adequate to receive the intended prosthesis. One of the major challenges after a vestibuloplasty procedure is to reduce post operative discomfort, scar contracture and subsequent loss in sulcular depth. A raw bony surface, as is obtained after Clark's vestibuloplasty is prone not only to infections and increased pain, but also to increased scarring during the healing phase.

Introduction: Comparison between stainless steel staples and silk sutures for primary closure of skin in patients undergoing neck dissection, in context of rapid application, approximation of the skin edges, economy and aesthetics of the resultant scar.
Aim: (1) To compare surgical stainless steel staples and silk sutures for primary wound closure, with respect to presence/absence of wound infection and dehiscence (2) To compare the resultant scar following the two different methods of the closure at 3(rd) month postoperatively with the help of visual analog scale and analyze the result statistically
Design: This study was designed to compare skin closure using staples and silk sutures in patients undergoing neck dissection, using both methods in one-half of the same wound; thus each wound affording its own control.
Materials And Methods: The study was conducted on patients requiring collar line incision (high submandibular incision) with or without a cephalad extension of midline lower lip split incision for surgical access, who presented to the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery.

Disturbances of tooth development may result in anomalies which appear in the form of swelling of the overlying mucosa of the erupting deciduous or permanent teeth, mostly in children. Eruption cyst (EC), a benign cyst is one such lesion associated with erupting teeth. ECs usually present as solitary swellings on the alveolar ridge mucosa, whereas multiple ECs presenting simultaneously or in short intervals are unusual.

In the present study, a novel collagen barrier membrane of fish origin was assessed in the treatment of periodontal intra-bony defects.
Materials And Methods: Ten systemically healthy chronic periodontitis patients having an osseous defect in the mandibular posterior teeth were selected and following the open flap debridement, a collagen membrane was placed over the defect and the flap was sutured with interrupted sutures.
