Human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are attractive for both medical practice and biomedical research. Nonfreezing short-term storage may provide safe and simple transportation and promote the practical use of MSCs. We aimed to determine the duration of efficient storage at ambient temperature (22°C) of human dermal MSCs in different three-dimensional organization and to investigate the role of cell metabolic mode in the resistance to the ambient storage damaging factors.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: The study was carried out using a sociological method among palliative patients of three regions of Ukraine (Lviv, Kyiv and Kharkiv) on a random sample of 377 people surveyed during 2022-2024. Background: Trends in the development of genetic markers for the purposes of genomic and marker-assisted selection primarily focus on identifying causative polymorphisms. Using these polymorphisms as markers enables a more accurate association between genotype and phenotype. Bioinformatic analysis allows calculating the impact of missense polymorphisms on the structural and functional characteristics of proteins, which makes it promising for identifying causative polymorphisms.

Enhancing Steganography Detection with AI: Fine-Tuning a Deep Residual Network for Spread Spectrum Image Steganography.

This paper presents an extensive investigation into the application of artificial intelligence, specifically Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), in image steganography detection. We initially evaluated the state-of-the-art steganalysis model, SRNet, on various image steganography techniques, including WOW, HILL, S-UNIWARD, and the innovative Spread Spectrum Image Steganography (SSIS). We found SRNet's performance on SSIS detection to be lower compared to other methods, prompting us to fine-tune the model using SSIS datasets.

Oral health is an integral part of general health, where poor oral health and other lifestyle-related chronic diseases have a common risk factor background. The underlying causes of oral health inequalities are often complex and related to country-specific historical, economic, cultural, social, or political factors.

Enhancing trauma care in Ukraine amid conflict: A successful implementation of the modified advanced trauma life support course in an active war zone.

Background: Following the 2022 Russian invasion, Ukraine's healthcare system suffered extensive damage, with over 1000 medical facilities destroyed, exacerbating the trauma care crisis. The absence of standardized trauma training left Ukrainian healthcare providers ill-equipped to manage the surge in trauma cases amid conflict. To bridge this gap, we implemented advanced trauma life support (ATLS) courses in Ukraine amid active warfare, aiming to enhance trauma care expertise among healthcare professionals.

The fast-ion phase-space distribution function in the magnetic fusion devices is always underdiagnosed, and every new fast-ion diagnostic should be carefully assessed before installation to minimize redundancies in measurements and maximize the information from the yet undiagnosed part of the fast-ion phase space distribution function. Here, we present a novel method of assessing the added value of a considered fast-ion diagnostic, taking actual geometry and an existing set of fast-ion diagnostics into account. The new method is based on a reformulation of the diagnostic weight functions in constants of motion (COM).

We study two-state (dichotomous, telegraph) random ergodic continuous-time processes with dynamics depending on their past. We take into account the history of the process in an explicit form by introducing integral nonlocal memory term into conditional probability function. We start from an expression for the conditional transition probability function describing additive multistep binary random chain and show that the telegraph processes can be considered as continuous-time interpolations of discrete-time dichotomous random sequences.

Association of Non-High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol With Cardiometabolic Risk Factors in Patients With Hypothyroidism.

Introduction: Non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) levels can increase the cardiometabolic risk factors in patients with hypothyroidism, but the findings across studies have not been consistently conclusive. The aim of this study was to find the association between non-HDL-C and cardiometabolic risk factors in patients with hypothyroidism.

Material And Methods: In this case-control study, a total of 120 subjects among which 60 diagnosed hypothyroidism patients and 60 age-matched healthy controls were enrolled, aged 30-65 years.

Quadricuspid Aortic Valve: A Rare Case of Endocarditis Suspicion and Management.

Quadricuspid aortic valve (QAV), a rare congenital cardiac anomaly, often presents with aortic regurgitation and can lead to significant cardiovascular complications. This case report describes a 55-year-old male with a history of subarachnoid hemorrhage who was incidentally found to have QAV with possible endocarditis. Transesophageal echocardiography revealed thickened leaflet tips on all four cusps and a mass on one leaflet, raising suspicion of endocarditis despite the absence of vegetation.

The chytrid Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd) is a widespread fungus causing amphibian declines across the globe. Although data on Bd occurrence in Eastern Europe are scarce, a recent species distribution model (SDM) for Bd reported that western and north-western parts of Ukraine are highly suitable to the pathogen. We verified the SDM-predicted range of Bd in Ukraine by sampling amphibians across the country and screening for Bd using qPCR.
