A more specific approach to treating patients with thoracoabdominal injury should also include minimally invasive technologies. It remains unclear about the utility of using video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and laparoscopy in patients with thoracoabdominal injury.

The role of nutritional support with probiotics in outpatients with symptomatic acute respiratory tract infections: a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled dietary study.

Background: A number of laboratory data and clinical studies have shown that probiotic bacteria may be beneficial in respiratory viral diseases. We investigated the role of probiotics in coronavirus disease-19 (COVID -19), post-disease symptoms, and humoral immune responses to viral antigens.

Improvement the mechanisms and levels of adhesion forces of dental photocomposite filling (restorative) materials to hard tissues of teeth, improvement of filling materials and increasing their availability is an urgent problem for theoretical and practical dentistry. Aim of the study - experimental evaluation of the strength of adhesion to the hard tissues of non-vital teeth for adhesive systems in combination with modern dental photocomposite filling (restorative) materials. 80 tests of the adhesion strength of the dental photocomposite filling (restorative) material to the tooth hard tissues (shear strength) were carried out for 8 pairs of "photocomposite-adhesive system" using an automated tensometric system.

DYNAMICS OF DIPHTHERIA INCIDENCE IN THE TRANSCARPATHIAN REGION OF UKRAINE IN THE VACCINATION ERA.

Objective: The aim: Was to study the dynamics of the incidence of diphtheria in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: A retrospective analysis of the data of the state statistical reporting of the Transcarpathian region on the incidence of diphtheria, the carriage of infection, vaccination coverage and the severity of diphtheria immunity was carried out.

Conclusion: Conclusions: Low coverage of the population with vaccination against diphtheria, registration of an outbreak of diphtheria among international students of the region, and other regions of Ukraine in conditions of increased population migration, are alarming prognostic signs of the possible development of another significant epidemic rise of diphtheria morbidity in Transcarpathia.

Though core competencies of family medicine (FM) have been clearly defined by WONCA, there has been an ongoing debate on what the CVs are for family doctors (FDs). ANALYSIS OF IMMUNE CHANGES AND THEIR ROLE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ORAL AND OROPHARYNGEAL CANCER.

Numerous studies of the immune system in cancer patients at the cellular and molecular levels indicate a persistent violation of natural and acquired mechanisms of immune defense. This article reveals changes in the immune system of patients with cancer of the oral cavity and oropharynx. It was determined that the levels of cytokines IL-6, IL-10, HGF and VEGF in high concentrations in the serum of patients correlate with an unsatisfactory prognosis and are independent indicators of low survival and correlate with relapse.

DENTAL STATUS FEATURES IN PATIENTS DURING ANTI-CANCER CHEMOTHERAPY (TRANSCARPATHIAN ANTITUMOR CENTER EXPERIENCE).

One of the most common complications of complex anticancer therapy is the development of various lesions of the oral cavity, including mucositis, which adversely affects the quality of life of the patient, limits the dose of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and further adversely affects the effectiveness of complex therapy. Objective - to investigate the dental status of patients who are in anticancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy through clinical examination and calculation hygienic indices. During the study, the oral cavity was examined in 130 patients from 2015-2020, during the examination the dental status was registered and complaints were recorded.

Steps towards implementing evidence-based screening in family medicine in Ukraine: SWOT-analysis of an approach of multidimensional empowerment.

Background: The purpose of this study is to forward the implementation of an operational evidence-based state screening program of common diseases in Ukraine, where currently no state-based and evidence-based screening (EBS) exists. CONVERSION THERAPY BANS IN NATIONAL LEGISLATIONS AROUND THE GLOBE.

The article summarizes the data on the number of conversion therapy legal bans aimed at changing sexual orientation and gender identity in countries around the globe; the content and the form of such prohibitions, the scope of their action by territorial criterion and the nature of the prohibition itself are analyzed; the draft laws, which are intended to legalize such bans in the national and territorial regime are studied; the thematic case law of individual countries is partly examined; countries where conversion therapy is promoted and explicitly authorized by public authorities are considered. According to the results of the study of more than half a hundred legal documents, the information obtained is distributed and organized into the following categories: national and regional prohibition of conversion therapy, direct and non-direct prohibition of conversion therapy; ban in different parts of the world. The content highlights the characteristics of the existing prohibitions, such as the name of the delict; year of entry into force of the relevant legal act; prohibition of sexual orientation and/or gender identity activities; the circle of persons subjected to the prohibition; the circle of persons protected by the prohibition; peculiarities.

The importance of control for nosocomial and community-acquired infections is one of the priorities of practical surgery, and maxillofacial surgery is no exception in this matter. Aim of study - to determine the spectrum of antimicrobial activity of widespread antiseptics and antibacterial agents used for topical treatment of odontogenic phlegmons of the maxillofacial region. A bacteriological study of purulent wound exudate was carried out for 109 patients of the maxillofacial hospital department with a diagnosis of odontogenic phlegmons.

Choice of the treatment method of the inflammatory process in the alveolar tooth socket.

Introduction: Alveolitis – is one of the most common complications in surgical dentistry after tooth extraction and their roots, accompanied by symptoms, the leading of which are pain in the alveoli with irradiation and partial or complete decay of the blood clot. The aim of our research is to study the clinical efficacy of antihomotoxic drugs and colloidal silver in patients with inflammatory processes in the alveolar tooth socket.

Material And Methods: 58 patients with inflammatory process in the alveoli after extraction of teeth or their roots (38 - female, 20 - male), aged 18-60 years, were examined with the help of clinical and microbiological, cytological study.

[CLINICAL AND LABORATORY FEATURES OF CHRONIC HEPATITIS C IN PATIENTS WITH HELICOBACTERIOSIS].

The aim of the study was to investigate the influence of Hp on clinical and biochemical course of chronic hepatitis C (CHC). The study included 150 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C, who for various reasons did not receive specific antiviral therapy. Helicobacter pylori (Нр) was determined using a quick urease test (CLO-test) and a coprological test (CITO TEST, manufactured by Pharmasco LLC), interleukin (IL) levels: IL-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) and neopterin by ELISA.

Effects of family constellation seminars on itch in patients with atopic dermatitis and psoriasis: A patient preference controlled trial.

Family dynamics play a major role in itch related dermatoses. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of family constellation seminars (FCS) in the decrease of itch in atopic dermatitis (AD) and psoriasis. Thirty-one adult patients with chronic itch (16 with AD and 15 with psoriasis) were allocated to intervention group (FCS + G) and control group (CG).

The problem of finding new ways for pharmacological prophylaxis and treatment of respiratory tract diseases is very relevant in public health. To eliminate hypoxia, many European and American clinics use carboxytherapy as an additional or alternative treatment. Carbon dioxide administration eliminates the sequels of oxygen starvation, by producing artificial tissue hypercapnia, which causes an increase in oxygen delivery and carbon dioxide removal from the tissues and then from the body.

The purpose of the article is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and practical aspects of compensation for moral damage caused to an individual in connection with the treatment or provision of other medical services. The theoretical and legal grounds for moral damage in the medical sphere were investigated in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, England, Sweden, and New Zealand. The practical experience of compensation for moral damage inflicted by medical workers was summarized on the basis of an analysis of cases that were considered by the European Court of Human Rights.

Interaction between clinical and psychological changes among patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary tuberculosis co-morbidity.

Objective: Introduction: The association of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary tuberculosis is an important medical and social problem with a significant burden in terms of morbidity and mortality. The course and prognosis of chronic diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pulmonary tuberculosis is greatly influenced not only by the clinical features but also by the psychological characteristics of the patient. The aim: To study the interaction between clinical changes and psychological characteristics considering gender differences among patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in association with pulmonary tuberculosis.

[Preparation of samples for gas-chromatographic determination of fatty acids: direct transesterification of lipids of dry biological sample is preferred in comparison with the methods employing preliminary lipid extraction.].

Different methods of sample preparation and derivatization were compared from the point of view of product yield, speed and convenience of the technique used. Fatty acid determination in absolutely dry objects (biochemical preparations, food protein isolates, lyophilized microbial biomass) may be performed easily with the use of Folch method provided that 4-component system "chloroform/ methanol/water/acetic acid" was employed. Nevertheless, we ould not find any real advantages of classical Folch or Hara-Radin extraction method variants when compared to simple non-extraction technique (which consists in direct trans-esterification of dried biomaterial due to sequential sample treating with sodium methoxide and boron trifluoride methanolic solutions).
