Herein, a scalable bioprocess for hiPSC-CM expansion in stirred-tank bioreactors (STB) is developed. By combining the continuous activation of the Wnt pathway, through perfusion of CHIR99021, within a mild hypoxia environment, the expansion of hiPSC-CM as aggregates is maximized, reaching 4 billion of pure hiPSC-CM in 2L STB.

Retrospective descriptive report comparing access systems to refine intravenous self-administration in rats.

For operant self-administration, permanent intravenous cannulas need to remain open and operational for months without infections or blockages. Here, we report retrospectively on our experiences and observations using different access systems during three studies. We identified a refined method for vena jugularis cannulation that is a vast improvement for the animals, biotechnicians and researchers.

Affinity-based covalent sialyltransferase probes enabled by ligand-directed chemistry.

Sialyltransferases (ST) are key enzymes found in, among others, mammals and bacteria that are responsible for producing sialylated glycans, which play critical roles in human health and disease. However, chemical tools to study sialyltransferases have been limited to non-covalent inhibitors and probes that do not allow isolation and profiling of these important enzymes. Here we report a new class of covalent affinity-based probes (AfBP) for ST by using ligand-directed chemistry (LDchem).

This paper provides a systematization of some recent results in homology of algebras. Our main theorem gives criteria under which the homology of a diagram algebra is isomorphic to the homology of the subalgebra on diagrams having the maximum number of left-to-right connections. From this theorem, we deduce the 'invertible-parameter' cases of the Temperley-Lieb and Brauer results of Boyd-Hepworth and Boyd-Hepworth-Patzt.
