Rationale: Spontaneous uterine rupture, although rare, is a life-threatening obstetric emergency with a high maternal and fetal mortality rate. It can occur without warning, leading to severe complications, including hemorrhage, shock, and fetal demise. The risk factors contributing to uterine rupture are diverse and include a history of uterine surgery (such as cesarean section), trauma to the uterus, abnormal uterine contractions during labor, and underlying conditions like adenomyosis.

Objective: This study aims to assess the safety and effectiveness of High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) ablation on pregnancy outcomes among women with uterine fibroids wishing to conceive, focusing specifically on short-term pregnancy outcomes immediately following HIFU treatment.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 210 women who underwent HIFU treatment (Group I) at our institution between January 2018 and December 2022 and subsequently conceived. Pregnancy outcomes were compared with two control groups: 510 patients who delivered vaginally (Group II) and 278 who underwent cesarean sections (Group III) during the same period.

While neonatal morbidities associated with early preterm birth are known, the risks of maternal morbidities in these births remain unclear. Thus, we set out to assess the risk of maternal morbidities associated with early preterm births. Retrospective cohort study utilizing the United States (US) Natality Live Birth database from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2016-2021).

Unlabelled: Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) and cervical incompetence (CI) are major contributors to preterm birth, a leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality.
Background/objectives: Disorders of the vaginal microbiota, such as bacterial vaginosis, have been associated with an increased risk of PROM, CI, and subsequent preterm birth. Probiotics, particularly Lactobacillus strains, have been proposed as a preventive strategy to restore and maintain a healthy vaginal microbiome.

Introduction: There is evidence of increasing use of misoprostol for induction of labour in low-income countries, but fewer reports of rupture of the uterus on account of its misuse.
Presentation Of Case: We report two cases of uterine rupture in two pregnant women referred to our centre due to the inadvertent administration of high doses of misoprostol in peripheral health centres. Both patients had hysterectomies, multiple blood transfusions and intrauterine fetal deaths.

Cesarean scar pregnancy refers to the complete or partial implantation of a gestational sac within an existent cesarean scar. Expectant management of caesarean scar pregnancy can lead to uterine rupture, a rare but life-threatening complication. We report here a sonographic marker which could predict short-term risk of uterine rupture in the context of expectant management of CSP after 15 weeks.

Interstitial pregnancy accounts for only 2%-4% of all ectopic pregnancies, however, it is associated with higher mortality rates as compared to other ectopic pregnancies, due to the associated risk of uterine rupture, and hemorrhage. A 35-year-old gravida 4 abortion 3 woman reported at the 8 week of gestation for antenatal care with comorbidity of protein C and protein S deficiency and recurrent pregnancy loss with for routine care. She was diagnosed as a case of interstitial pregnancy by transvaginal sonography and magnetic resonance imaging.

A non-communicating rudimentary uterine horn is a Müllerian abnormality that manifests due to abnormal Müllerian duct development. This abnormality is associated with endometriosis, infertility, and pregnancy complications, including ectopic pregnancy, abnormal fetal presentation, abruption, increased fetal mortality and morbidity, preterm rupture of membranes, preterm birth, intrauterine growth restriction, and uterine rupture. If pregnancy does occur, there is a high risk of complications, most notably rupture of the rudimentary horn.
