Herein, a ternary PdPtRu nanodendrite as novel trimetallic nanozyme was reported, which possessed excellent peroxidase-like activity as well as electro-catalytic activity on account of the synergistic effect between the three metals. Based on the excellent electro-catalytic activity of trimetallic PdPtRu nanozyme toward the reduction of HO, the trimetallic nanozyme was applied to construct a brief electrochemical immunosensor for SARS-COV-2 antigen detection. Concretely, trimetallic PdPtRu nanodendrite was used to modify electrode surface, which not only generated high reduction current of HO for signal amplification, but also provided massive active sites for capture antibody (Ab) immobilization to construct immunosensor.

Upregulation of pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2) is critical for the orchestration of metabolism and inflammation in critical illness, while autophagic degradation is a recently revealed mechanism that counter-regulates PKM2. Accumulating evidence suggests that sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) function as a crucial regulator in autophagy. The present study investigated whether SIRT1 activator would downregulate PKM2 in lethal endotoxemia promotion of its autophagic degradation.

Chemerin, an adipocyte-secreted protein, has been recently suggested to be linked to metabolic syndrome and cardiac function in obese and diabetes mellitus. This study aimed to investigate the potential roles of adipokine chemerin on high fat-induced cardiac dysfunction. Chemerin () knockout mice, which were fed with either a normal diet or a high-fat diet for 20 weeks, were employed to observe whether adipokine chemerin affected lipid metabolism, inflammation, and cardiac function.

Dual-specificity tyrosine phosphorylation regulated kinase 1A (DYRK1A) signaling is involved in the dynamic balance of catabolism and anabolism in articular chondrocytes. This study aimed to investigate the roles and mechanism of DYRK1A in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis (OA). The expressions of DYRK1A and its downstream signal epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) were detected in the cartilage of adult wild-type mice with destabilized medial meniscus (DMM) and articular cartilage of patients with OA.

Background: Recently it was suggested that urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (uACR), even within the normal range, can be associated with hypertension, but only a few studies have examined. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the association between normal range uACR and the prevalence of hypertension.
Methods: The research used data from the 2009 to 2018 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, which included 14,919 participants.

Background: Psychological conditions have been found to be associated with an increased risk of incident benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). However, much less is known on whether and how psychological conditions such as anxiety, insomnia and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) affect the recurrence of BPPV.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of 2,612 outpatients and inpatients diagnosed with BPPV between September 2012 and August 2020.

Currently, the therapeutic effect of clopidogrel differs considerably among individuals and is thought to be closely related to the genetic polymorphism of . The gene can reduce the antiplatelet aggregation effect of clopidogrel, which increases the risk of major cardiovascular adverse events in patients. In this research, we report a new type of biosensor for the highly sensitive detection of the gene based on exonuclease III assisted electric signal amplification and the use of calixarene to enrich electrical signal substances.

The treatment of malignant tumors is usually accompanied by poor prognosis due to metastasis of tumor cells. Hence, it is crucial to enhance anti-metastasis efficacy when anti-tumor treatments are conducted. It has been reported that the vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) is highly expressed on the surface of tumor cells and plays an essential role in the metastasis of tumor cells.

Introduction: Despite the prevalent use of antenatal corticosteroids (ACS) to prevent preterm infants' adverse neonatal complications, there is currently no consensus on administration-to-birth intervals of ACS. International guidelines broadly agree that the administration of antenatal corticosteroids should be within 7 days prior to preterm birth. However, there is little evidence to support narrower optimal ACS administration-to-birth interval time.
