Background: The effect of different neonatal anthropometric charts on the incidence and neurodevelopmental outcomes at two years (Y) corrected age of small-for-gestational-age (SGA) preterm infants has still not been fully explored.

Methods: All preterm infants with a gestational age (GA) between 24.0 and 31.

Objective: To assess the relationship between baseline total serum testosterone (T) and clinical outcomes in men affected by Peyronie's disease (PD) stable stage and treated by extra corporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT).

Methods: In this study, 168 patients affected by PD in stable stage (≥12 months) and treated with ESWT, were divided into 2 groups. Group 1 (G1) counted 71 patients with low T levels (≤ 300 ng/dL); group 2 (G2) consisted of 97 patients with normal T that received ESWT with the same protocol of G1 for 6 weeks.

Article Synopsis
  • The rapid advancement of precision diagnostic tools and omic technologies has led to the identification of new disease endotypes for allergic conditions, improving our understanding of diseases beyond just symptoms.
  • This shift has prompted a reevaluation of current disease classifications, ultimately leading to the development of a modern nomenclature for allergic diseases that acknowledges historical classifications.
  • The paper details a comprehensive framework for hypersensitivity reactions, categorizing them into nine types based on mechanisms and responses, with plans for a follow-up article addressing the practical implications in allergy treatment and management.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study compares the effectiveness of extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) alone versus ESWT combined with low-intensity laser diode therapy (LILDT) in treating Peyronie's disease (PD) in a stable stage, involving 214 patients split into two treatment groups.
  • - Patients treated with ESWT plus LILDT showed significantly better results in pain resolution during erections and reduction of penile curvature compared to those treated with ESWT alone after three months.
  • - The findings suggest that combining ESWT with LILDT offers enhanced pain relief, improved penile curvature, and overall better sexual function without significant side effects, indicating a promising treatment option for Peyronie's disease.

Article Synopsis
  • * Cardiac rhabdomyomas can often be identified using echocardiography and MRI, sometimes even in newborns, and they may appear before brain-related symptoms of TS do.
  • * The early detection of these heart tumors can help in diagnosing TS and identifying brain lesions, leading to better management of the symptoms associated with the condition.

Objective: To investigate the feasibility of an ultra-low radiation dose and contrast volume protocol using third-generation dual-source (DS) CT for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) planning with coronary artery disease (CAD) assessment, coronary artery calcium score (CACS) and aortic valve calcium score (AVCS) quantification and to evaluate their relationship with TAVI outcome.

Methods: In this retrospective study were selected 203 patients (131 males, 79.4 ± 5.
