Dissolved oxygen is crucial for metabolism, growth, and other complex physiological and pathological processes; however, standard physiological models (such as organ-on-chip systems) often use ambient oxygen levels, which do not reflect the lower levels that are typically found . Additionally, the local generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS; a key factor in physiological systems) is often overlooked in biology-mimicking models. Here, we present a microfluidic system that integrates electrochemical dissolved oxygen sensors with lab-on-a-chip technology to monitor the physiological oxygen concentrations and generate hydrogen peroxide (HO; a specific ROS).

This study aims to longitudinally examine its effects on mental health, specifically, clinical symptoms of anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). We anticipated greater symptom severity among individuals who experienced traumatic loss, were forcibly displaced, or suffered income loss, as well as among women and members of ethnic minorities.

In the pursuit of equitable diabetes care, international knowledge exchange (iKE) serves as a crucial mechanism for narrowing the gaps in quality within and between countries. Little is known about the process of quality measurement exchange among stakeholders from high-income countries (HICs), low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and international organizations. This study aims to analyze recent international exchanges of quality measures in diabetes care and propose a framework for enhancing quality, focusing on LMICs.

A major component of recovery is the inclusion of lived experience to transform the culture of Mental Health (MH) services. In Israel lived experience has been increasingly integrated into services through peer roles. Participants included pre- and post-menopausal women with DGBI and age-matched men.

Purpose: Diffusing alpha-emitters Radiation Therapy ("Alpha DaRT") is a new cancer treatment modality that employs radium-224-loaded metal sources implanted in solid tumors to disperse alpha-emitting atoms within a therapeutic "kill-zone" of a few millimeters around each source. Preclinical studies have demonstrated tumor growth delay in various cancer types, including glioblastoma multiforme, and the method is used in clinical trials for patients with skin and head and neck cancer.
