The purpose of this measurement study was to examine the Scale of Body Connection (SBC) sensitivity to change among mind-body or bodywork interventions and to explore the concurrent validity in relation to emotion dysregulation and mindfulness skills. This study was based on multiple clinical trials that had used the SBC to evaluate changes in body awareness (BA) and bodily dissociation (BD) in response to a mind-body or bodywork intervention. Photovoice is a powerful way to generate youth reflection and social action for health promotion. While the literature offers numerous examples of photovoice studies involving youth, they are most often engaged in taking, dialoguing, and developing phototexts, but not always in the critical next stages of planning what to do with this data, in terms of analyzing and then planning change-related strategic actions. This article describes the ways in which an intergenerational environmental justice project, as part of a larger community-based participatory research program, engaged youth through all stages of a photovoice project.

This article responds to emerging research findings; forensic examiners are stressed in the workplace by their leaders who push them to improve performance to meet deadlines. Pushing employees causing them moderate stress was an acceptable practice to enhance performance while maintaining motivation. This is not true today! The same factors contributing to the stress of forensic examiners can decrease their stress, and this can be championed by managing employees' emotions.

Recent science education reforms have incorporated a range of Vygotskyan-inspired theories of learning, which has been conducive to studies of learners' participation in scientific practices. Yet, these theories vary in their emphasis on local sociocultural context's relationship to broader sociohistorical context as contributors to science learning, in some cases limiting these studies' ability to challenge adaptationist tendencies. The present study examined identity and motivation processes in an inquiry science context with the goal of better historicizing these processes by describing the phenomenon of exclusion cascades in relation to two backgrounded cultural-historical processes, alienation and the social division of labor.

Rapid and accurate clinical assessment of hemostasis is essential for managing patients who undergo invasive procedures, experience hemorrhages, or receive antithrombotic therapies. Hemostasis encompasses an ensemble of interactions between the cellular and non-cellular blood components, but current devices assess only partial aspects of this complex process. In this paper we focus on LGBTQ+ travel guides and the creation of a North American LGBTQ+ urban imaginary as forms and facilitators of activism. Specifically, we consider one of the few continuously published sources detailing such an imaginary in the mid-20th century and its construction of an 'epistemological grid' onto which entries were placed. We briefly situate the guides in the context of an emerging (and frequently politicised) mid-20th-century LGBTQ+ media ecosystem, then proceed to a detailed analysis of the imaginary they evoke.

Surface water runoff is an important source of water contamination affecting nearby rivers and streams. Many rural creeks are documented habitats for important aquatic species and the focus of restoration activities. In this study, we collected creek water samples in watersheds with a range of commercial-to-agricultural land use during rain events, and applied suspect and non-target screening with high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) to characterize the occurrence of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs).

There is a growing recognition that ecological systems can spend extended periods of time far away from an asymptotic state, and that ecological understanding will therefore require a deeper appreciation for how long ecological transients arise. Recent work has defined classes of deterministic mechanisms that can lead to long transients. Given the ubiquity of stochasticity in ecological systems, a similar systematic treatment of transients that includes the influence of stochasticity is important.
