Introduction: Since 2017, women with absolute uterine infertility due to Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome have been eligible to participate in a uterine transplantation clinical trial conducted by Foch Hospital in France. The aim of this study is to assess the psychological state of potential candidates, including recipients, their partners, and their living-related donors.

Material And Methods: Sixteen potential uterus transplant candidates, including recipients, partners, and living-related donors, participated in the study.

Methods: In a phase 3, open-label trial, we enrolled patients with ER-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced breast cancer that recurred or progressed during or after aromatase inhibitor therapy, administered alone or with a cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor. Patients were assigned in a 1:1:1 ratio to receive imlunestrant, standard endocrine monotherapy, or imlunestrant-abemaciclib.

Non-replicative herpes simplex virus genomic and amplicon vectors for gene therapy - an update.

Two major types of defective vectors have been derived from herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1), non-replicative genomic vectors (nrHSV-1), and amplicon vectors. This review recapitulates the main features of both vector types and summarizes recent improvements in our understanding of virus/vector biology, particularly with regard to the critical role played by the overpowering of antiviral cellular defenses and the epigenetic control of viral gene expression. Over the past years, significant breakthroughs in vector design, genetic engineering, and HSV-1 biology have accelerated the development of nrHSV-1 vectors.

However, limited data on exposure to air pollution is available, and studies are rare, particularly in French-speaking Africa. This study aims to investigate the impact of air pollution on mortality in 12 French-speaking African countries (Algeria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Tunisia).

Background: BK-polyomavirus (BKpyV) nephropathy (BKVN) is associated with end-stage kidney disease in kidney and non-kidney solid organ transplantation, with no curative treatment.

Case Presentation: A 45-year-old woman with a past medical history of double lung transplantation subsequently developed end-stage kidney disease, of undetermined origin. One month after receiving a kidney transplant, a diagnosis of early BKVN was suspected, and in retrospect was a reasonable cause for the loss of her native kidneys.

Adaptation of French general practitioners for the management of nursing home patients during COVID-19 in 2020: a multilevel analysis.

Background: To describe French general practioners' (GPs) adaptation strategies to ensure follow-up care of nursing home patients during the first wave of COVID-19 (May 2020) and to identify factors associated with each strategy.

Methods: A national cross-sectional study was conducted with online questionnaires in May 2020 among GPs practicing in France (metropolitan and overseas) and usually providing nursing home visits before pandemic. The outcome was defined as the GPs' adaptation strategies for managing nursing home patients and was categorized into four groups: Maintenance of Nursing Home Visits NHV (reference), Stopping NHV, Numeric adaptation (teleconsultations only), Mixed adaptation (NHV and teleconsultations).

Uterus transplantation is being more widely implemented in clinical practice. Monitoring of rejection is routinely done for cervical biopsies and is dependent on histopathological assessment, as rejections are clinically silent and nonhistological biomarkers are missing. Until this gap is filled, it is important to corroborate the histopathological diagnosis of rejection through independent methods such as gene expression analysis.
