The purpose of this clinical study was to compare the effects of the gingival displacement techniques of retraction cord, cordless paste system, and Er,Cr:YSGG laser troughing on the periodontal tissues around the crown restoration produced using a digital scan. This was analyzed by recording the probing depth (PD), plaque index, gingival index (GI), mobility, sensitivity, and bleeding on probing (BOP) index. In the present study, the location, histology and number of corpuscles of Stannius (Sc), which are endocrine glands associated with the kidneys of teleost fish, were investigated for the first time in Lake Van fish (Alburnus tarichi), an anadromous and endemic inhabiting Turkey's Lake Van Basin. The Sc, which were ovoid or spheroid and white or cream in colour, were found to vary in number between three and five among the examined fish. The glands were located in the caudal part of the kidney, and either partially or completely embedded, and found to be present on both the ventral and dorsal surface of either side of the caudal part of the kidney.

A novel highly active and reusable carbon based platinum-ruthenium nanocatalyst for dimethylamine-borane dehydrogenation in water at room conditions.

In this paper, we present platinum/ruthenium nanoparticles supported on Vulcan carbon (PtRu@VC) as a nanocatalyst for the dehydrogenation of dimethylamine-borane (DMAB) in aqueous solution under mild conditions. PtRu@VC nanocatalyst was fabricated using the alcohol-reduction techniques which is a facile and effective method. The prepared PtRu@VC nanocatalyst exhibited a good stabilization and an effective catalytic activity for hydrogen evolution from the DMAB dehydrogenation in water at room temperature.

According to the conductance data obtained indicate all of the metal complexes have non-electrolytic nature. Square pyramidal geometry for Pd(II) and octahedral geometry for all the other complexes synthesized was concluded from the electronic absorption spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements of the complexes.
