Triacylglycerols (TGs) are the primary lipids of plant oils and the positional distribution of fatty acids (FAs) is essential to physicochemical, functional, and nutritional qualities of oils. Most studies have reported TG species in plant oils. In some studies, FA combinations in each TG species have been reported still neglecting the regioisomer composition of TGs.

This study reports the electropolymerization of novel keto functionalized octaethyl metal porphyrins (Zn and Ni) in the presence of 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bpy) as a bridging nucleophile. The polymer films were characterized by electrochemical, spectroscopic (UV-Vis, XPS, FT-IR and Raman spectroscopy) and imaging (AFM and SEM) techniques. The absorption and electronic spectra confirm the presence of both porphyrin and 4,4'-bipyridine units in the film.

Erythrocyte-based drug delivery systems have been investigated for their biocompatibility, long circulation time, and capability to transport cargo all around the body, thus presenting enormous potential in medical applications. In this study, we investigated hybrid nanoparticles consisting of nano-sized autologous or allogeneic red blood cell (RBC) membranes encapsulating porous silicon nanoparticles (PSi NPs). These NPs were functionalized with a model cancer antigen TRP2, which was either expressed on the surface of the RBCs by a cell membrane-mimicking copolymer polydimethylsiloxane--poly-2-methyl-2-oxazoline, or attached on the PSi NPs, thus hidden within the encapsulation.

We finally managed to establish a protocol for generating Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-grade gallium-68-labelled 1,4,7,0-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid conjugated sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin 9 motif containing peptide ([Ga]Ga-DOTA-Siglec-9), the first radiopharmaceutical for positron emission tomography imaging of vascular adhesion protein 1.

Most peculiarly, large areas of northern tundra highlands fall outside of the two recent subdivisions of the tundra biome. We seek an ecologically natural resolution to this long-standing and far-reaching problem.
