We consider the question of determining how the topological structure influences a consensus dynamical processes taking place on a network. By considering a large data set of real-world networks we first determine that the removal of edges according to their communicability angle, an angle between position vectors of the nodes in an Euclidean communicability space, increases the average time of consensus by a factor of 5.68 in real-world networks.

Cell sorting is an essential and efficient experimental tool for the isolation and characterization of target cells. A three-dimensional environment is crucial in determining cell behavior and cell fate in biological analysis. Herein, we have applied photodegradable hydrogels to optical cell separation from a 3D environment using a computer-controlled light irradiation system.

RNA interference is a post-transcriptional gene-silencing pathway induced by double-stranded small interfering RNA (siRNA). The potential use of siRNA as a therapeutic agent has attracted great attention as a novel approach to the treatment of several intractable diseases. Despite the rapid progress in the therapeutic use of siRNA, systemic application is still controversial due to the limitations of siRNA, such as low enzymatic tolerability, cellular internalization and body distribution after systemic administration.
