With the popularity of the internet, cyberbullying has emerged as an increasingly serious social issue, particularly affecting college students' behavioral health. This study explores the relationship between perceived discrimination and cyberbullying, as well as the mediating role of self-esteem and the moderating role of self-compassion (SC) in this relationship. Using a longitudinal design, data were collected from 892 Chinese college students (414 females, 478 males) in two waves spanning 1 year.

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is the most aggressive subtype of breast cancer, with the worst prognosis among all subtypes. The impact of distinct cell subpopulations within the tumor microenvironment (TME) on TNBC patient prognosis has yet to be clarified.
Methods: Utilizing single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) integrated with bulk RNA sequencing (bulk RNA-seq), we applied Cox regression models to compute hazard ratios, and cross-validated prognostic scoring using a GLMNET-based Cox model.

Direct conversion of CO with renewable H to produce methanol provides a promising way for CO utilization and H storage. Cu/ZnO catalysts are active, but their activities depend on the preparation methods. Here, we reported a facile mechanical grinding method for the fast synthesis of Cu@zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) derived Cu/ZnO catalysts applied in CO hydrogenation to methanol.

The search for efficient, earth-abundant electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) has identified unsaturated molybdenum disulfide (MoS) as a leading candidate. This review synthesises recent advancements in the engineering of MoS to enhance its electrocatalytic properties. It focuses on strategies for designing an unsaturated electronic structure on metal catalytic centers and their role in boosting the efficiency of the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER).

Current treatment approaches for Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) primarily focus on symptom management rather than addressing underlying dysfunctions. The ketogenic diet (KD), a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet inducing nutritional ketosis, has shown promise in treating epilepsy and may offer therapeutic benefits for ASD by modulating metabolic and neuroprotective pathways. This review examined the potential impact of KD on underlying mechanisms in ASD.

Ultrahigh-nickel layered oxide cathodes (≥90% nickel) possess exceptionally high discharge capacities, which can significantly improve the energy density of lithium-ion batteries and alleviate the driving range anxiety of electric vehicles. However, the high interfacial reactivity of ultrahigh-nickel cathodes, especially the detrimental side reactions with harmful acidic species like HF in the electrolyte, can deteriorate the battery interface and reduce the cycle life, hindering their practical application. In this study, 3-isocyanatopropyltrimethoxysilane (PTTS-NCO) is introduced as the electrolyte additive, which can effectively scavenge the harmful acidic species in the electrolyte and form a protective surface layer at the electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby enhancing the electrochemical performance of the battery (NCM90/Li).

Background: Unstable diametaphyseal radius fractures (DMRFs) can be prone to complications, and treatment strategies are heterogeneous. Studies are difficult to interpret as definitions of the diametaphyseal junction zone (DMJZ) are impractical for clinical use, imprecise, or prone to error.
Methods: We introduce the forearm fracture index (FFI) to define DMRFs in radiographs and ultrasound.

Motivation: Most drugs start on their journey inside the body by binding the right target proteins. This is the reason that numerous efforts have been devoted to predicting the drug-target binding during drug development. However, the inherent diversity among molecular properties, coupled with limited training data availability, poses challenges to the accuracy and generalizability of these methods beyond their training domain.

Amide groups occur extensively in natural and synthetic polymers cultivating their vital roles in biological and industrial worlds. We report here an efficient and controlled pathway to amide-functionalized polyethers through ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of commercially available ethyl glycidate followed by amidation of the pendant ester groups. Transesterification is inhibited during the ROP by use of a two-component organocatalyst.

We propose a simple mathematical model to describe the mechanical relaxation of cells within a curved epithelial tissue layer represented by an arbitrary curve in two-dimensional space. This model generalises previous one-dimensional models of flat epithelia to investigate the influence of curvature for mechanical relaxation. We represent the mechanics of a cell body either by straight springs, or by curved springs that follow the curve's shape.

In multi-dimensional nanopositioning and nanomeasuring devices, interference measurement is widely used. The three-dimensional (3D) target mirror serves as the spatial reference plane to achieve multidimensional interference measurements. However, the surface shape errors of the target mirror are superimposed on the geometric dimensions of the measured workpiece, which limits the system's overall measurement accuracy.

Calcium metal batteries with high capacity and low cost are promising alternatives to Li-ion batteries for large-scale energy storage. However, its development is crucially impeded by the irreversible Ca metal anode, which is highly associated with uncontrollable Ca plating/stripping. Here, we report a new riveting strategy to regulate the nucleation and growth of a Ca metal anode in the 3D structure of a carbon nanotube film (CNF) by introducing in situ-formed Na metal mediators.

The structural plasticity of proteins at the molecular level is largely dictated by backbone torsion angles, which play a critical role in ligand recognition and binding. To establish the anion-induced cooperative arrangement of the main-chain (mc) torsion, herein, we analyzed a set of naturally occurring CαNN motifs as "static models" for their anion-binding competence through docking and molecular dynamics simulations and decoded its torsion angle influenced mc-driven anion recognition potential. By comparing a pool of 20 distinct sets of CαNN motif with identical sequences in their "anion bound/present, aP" and "anion free/absent, aA" versions, we could discern that there exists a positive correlation between the "difference of anion residence time (ΔR)" and "difference among the main-chain torsion angle" of the aP and aA population.

In acoustics, an artificial head generally comprises two pinnae and occasionally a torso, which are useful for recording binaural signals and acquiring head-related transfer functions (HRTFs). Currently, most artificial heads are designed based on the anthropometric parameters of specific populations. However, anthropometric parameters do not accurately express head surface shapes, and thus, typical HRTFs are difficult to generate.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the most common histological subtype of lung cancer, characterized by a high incidence in late stages, high mortality rate, and poor prognosis. Src Homology 2 Domain Containing Protein 5 (SH2D5) is a mammalian-specific, uncharacterized scaffolding protein, and its role in LUAD remains unclear. In the present study, we investigated the function and potential mechanisms of SH2D5 in the progression of LUAD.

Diabetes, a chronic metabolic condition characterised by persistently high blood sugar levels, necessitates early detection to mitigate its risks. Inadequate dietary choices can contribute to various health complications, emphasising the importance of personalised nutrition interventions. However, real-time selection of diets tailored to individual nutritional needs is challenging because of the intricate nature of foods and the abundance of dietary sources.

Contamination of water resources by artificial coloring agents and the increasing incidence of bacterial illnesses are two significant environmental and public health issues that are getting worse day by day. Traditional treatment techniques frequently fail to address these problems adequately in a sustainable and environmental friendly way. In response, our study presents a novel photocatalyst that demonstrates superior photodegradation capability and antibacterial qualities in catering the above issues.
