Objective: Physical exercise can improve neurocognition in individuals with schizophrenia, presumably by facilitating neuroplasticity. There is, however, large inter-individual variation in response. The brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) has been proposed to mediate these effects.

Position-Induced Controllable Growth of Vertically Oriented Graphene Using Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition.

Because the morphology of vertically oriented graphene (VG) synthesized by the plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition process determines the application performance of VG, morphology control is always an important part of the research. A concise correspondence between plasma and the morphology of VG is the key to investigating the morphology control of VG, which is still under research. In this study, a simple but effective parameter, position, is used to grow VG, by which the continuous morphology evolution of VG is realized.

The amelioration of the aspect ratio of the CoO nanowires may affect the pathway of electron conduction and ion diffusion, thereby improving the electrochemical performances.

Introduction: High-intensity interval training (HIIT) may improve cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) and mental health. The current observer-blinded RCT investigates the sparsely studied efficiency of HIIT in reducing psychotic and non-psychotic symptoms in schizophrenia and complements previous studies by investigating whether symptom reduction following HIIT is associated with, putatively partly mediated by, increased VOmax.

Methods: Participants (outpatients meeting diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia) were randomized to HIIT ( = 43) or a comparison group performing low-intensity active video gaming (AVG) to control for social interaction ( = 39).

Purpose: To investigate the changes in the tear cytokine profile of patients with meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) treated with eyelid warming and to correlate these changes with clinical parameters for dry eye disease (DED).

Methods: Seventy patients with MGD were included and treated with the warming of eyelids. Of these, 61 still used the treatment three months after baseline, while 48 completed the whole treatment period of six months.

Background: Body image is considered a core issue for public health and associates with university students' overall health. Due to positive associations between exercise and body image, it has been suggested that students within an exercise science program might be more body appreciative compared to other students.
