The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has made explicit the burden of care shouldered by academic mothers, in addition to juggling their scholarly commitments. Although discussions are abundant on the impact of caring responsibilities on the careers of women academics, neoliberal academia continues to minimize such struggles. Despite the disruptions to family routines caused by the health crisis, academic institutions have expected academic mothers and fathers to continue undertaking their professional responsibilities at the same level as before, disregarding their parenting demands.

Ultrasound is the imaging examination of choice for evaluation of suspected testicular pathology. The differential diagnosis of bilateral testicular lesions includes malignancy such as lymphoma and metastases, infection, and, uncommonly, adrenal rest tumors. We present a patient who developed bilateral testicular adrenal rest tumors after years of poorly controlled congenital adrenal hyperplasia, possibly due to chronically elevated adrenocorticotropic hormone stimulating the growth of testicular stem cells.

Mosquito-borne diseases continue to ravage humankind with >700 million infections and nearly one million deaths every year. Yet only a small percentage of the >3500 mosquito species transmit diseases, necessitating both extensive surveillance and precise identification. Unfortunately, such efforts are costly, time-consuming, and require entomological expertise.

Lynch syndrome is the most common form of hereditary colorectal cancer and is associated with an increased incidence of endometrial cancer, small bowel cancer, and other malignancies. The advent of immune checkpoint blockade, next-generation sequencing, and precision medicine molecular tumor boards have revolutionized the current treatment landscape for many cancers and allowed for more creative approaches to treating patients. In addition, tissue agnostic approvals have also served as valid treatment options for patients with otherwise untreatable cancers.

Magnetic interactions can play an important role in the heating efficiency of magnetic nanoparticles. Although most of the time interparticle magnetic interactions are a dominant source, in specific cases such as multigranular nanostructures intraparticle interactions are also relevant and their effect is significant. In this work, we have prepared two different multigranular magnetic nanostructures of iron oxide, nanorings (NRs) and nanotubes (NTs), with a similar thickness but different lengths (55 nm for NRs and 470 nm for NTs).
