Sebaceous carcinoma accounts for 1-5.5% of all eyelid malignancies. This lesion, traditionally considered among the most lethal of all tumors of the ocular adnexa, occurs more commonly in women and in the elderly and has a predilection for the upper lid.

Congenital nystagmus (CN) is a common disorder indicative of a primary disturbance of the ocular motor or visual sensory systems. The authors prospectively evaluated 81 patients with CN, structurally normal eyes, and minimal or no abnormalities of the optic nerve, macula, and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Seventy-four (91%) patients were found to have a disorder of the visual sensory system.

Primary and secondary orbital teratomas.

Two patients with primary teratomas of the orbit and a third patient with a teratoma invading the orbit from the maxillary sinus are presented. The clinical presentation of each patient was spectacular. In the primary teratomas, the globe was displaced out of the orbit by the attached tumor, causing extreme proptosis.

In a previous study of factors influencing the development of acquired subglottic stenosis (SS) we proposed choosing an endotracheal tube (ETT) size such that the ratio of the external diameter divided by the gestational age of the infant in weeks was less than 0.1. We have prospectively followed 44 patients intubated longer than 25 days.

We retrospectively studied 125 patients treated for carcinoma in situ of the vulva from 1961 through 1984, with follow-up ranging from one to 24 years. Patients' ages ranged from 24 to 90 years, with a mean age of 53 years. Multifocal disease was more common in women under age 40.

A new technique using double contrast after digital subtraction wrist arthrography is presented. Results of the double contrast wrist arthrograms were essential to the diagnosis, confirmed the diagnosis, or salvaged an otherwise poor or nondiagnostic examination. It was found that intra-articular injection of air augments the information obtained during postarthrogram active motion studies under fluoroscopy.
