Ferroelectric capacitive memories (FCMs) utilize ferroelectric polarization to modulate device capacitance for data storage, providing a new technological pathway to achieve two-terminal non-destructive-read ferroelectric memory. In contrast to the conventional resistive memories, the unique capacitive operation mechanism of FCMs transfers the memory reading and in-memory computing to charge domain, offering ultra-high energy efficiency, better compatibility to large-scale array, and negligible read disturbance. In recent years, extensive research has been conducted on FCMs.

Electrocatalytic gas-evolving reactions often result in bubble-covered surfaces, impeding the mass transfer to active sites. Such an issue will be worsened in practical high-current-density conditions and can cause sudden cell failure. Herein, we develop an on-chip microcell-based total-internal-reflection-fluorescence-microscopy to enable operando imaging of bubbles at sub-50 nm and dynamic probing of their nucleation during hydrogen evolution reaction.

Hydroxide exchange membrane (HEM) water electrolysis is promising for green hydrogen production due to its low cost and excellent performance. However, HEM often has insufficient stability in strong alkaline solutions, particularly under in-situ electrolysis operation conditions, hindering its commercialization. In this study, we discover that the in-situ stability of HEM is primarily impaired by the locally accumulated heat in HEM due to its low thermal conductivity.

The combination of chemotherapy and gene therapy holds promise in treating cancer. A key strategy is to use small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) to silence programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression in cancer cells, disrupting tumor immune evasion and enhancing anticancer treatments, particularly when used in conjunction with chemotherapy drugs such as doxorubicin (Dox). However, effective codelivery of drugs and genes requires carefully designed carriers and complex synthesis procedures.

In most solid tumors, cellular energy metabolism is primarily dominated by aerobic glycolysis, which fulfills the high demand for biomacromolecules at the expense of reduced ATP production efficiency. Elucidation of the mechanisms by which rapidly proliferating malignant cells acquire sufficient energy in this state of inefficient ATP production from glycolysis could enable development of metabolism targeted therapeutic strategies. In this study, we observed a significant association between elevated expression levels of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) SNHG17 and unfavorable prognosis in breast cancer (BCa).

Background: Fermentation of dietary fiber by the gut microbiota leads to the production of metabolites called short-chain fatty acids, which lower blood pressure and exert cardioprotective effects. Short-chain fatty acids activate host signaling responses via the functionally redundant receptors GPR41 and GPR43, which are highly expressed by immune cells. Whether and how these receptors protect against hypertension or mediate the cardioprotective effects of dietary fiber remains unknown.
