It is crucial to implement appropriate measures to prevent the spread of plant pathogens that lead to the decay of fruits and vegetables. From this perspective, we evaluated the biocontrol potential of five Bacillus-plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) strains against twenty-one pectinolytic phytopathogens causing soft rot in fruits and vegetables. These phytopathogens had been previously studied.

Fault detection, classification, and location prediction are crucial for maintaining the stability and reliability of modern power systems, reducing economic losses, and enhancing system protection sensitivity. This paper presents a novel Hierarchical Deep Learning Approach (HDLA) for accurate and efficient fault diagnosis in transmission lines. HDLA leverages two-stage transformer-based classification and regression models to perform Fault Detection (FD), Fault Type Classification (FTC), and Fault Location Prediction (FLP) directly from synchronized raw three-phase current and voltage samples.

General plant diseases as well as soil-borne pathogens severely reduce agricultural yield. The rhizosphere (the region of the soil that includes and surrounds the roots) is an important niche for microbial diversity in particular phytobeneficial bacteria including plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) which have been used for a very long time to combat plant diseases. Pathogen control and crop productivity can both be improved through the use of PGPR several mechanisms, including iron-based nutrition, antibiotics, volatile substances, enzymes, biofilm, allelochemicals, and so on.

The clopidogrel bisulfate was degraded under aerobic conditions by two bacterial strains isolated from industrial effluents in El-Harrach, Algeria. The sequencing of their 16S rRNA revealed that these two strains are Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas putida. The experiments showed that this consortium could remove clopidogrel bisulfate at high concentrations (5-1500 mg·L) within 96 h incubation period.

The Sand rat, Psammomys obesus, living northwest of the Algerian Sahara, presents a seasonal reproductive cycle. The purposes of this study were firstly to determine the stages of seminiferous epithelium cycle (SEC) by histological and morphometric analysis and secondly to investigate, for the first time, the testicular expression of RFamide-related peptide-3 (RFRP-3) during the SEC by immunohistochemistry. The results showed that the SEC consists of 14 stages according to the tubular morphology method.

Our interest in the testicular study of the desert rodent, Gerbillus tarabuli, would provide a better comprehension of the seasonality of spermatogenesis in rodents. We thus performed a biometric, histomorphometric and statistical analyses in Gerbillus tarabuli sexually immature and adult during the annual reproductive cycle (active and regressed states of gonadal activity). For that, fixed testes were embedded in paraffin.
