Materials And Methods: A search was conducted on PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library databases, and Embase for studies evaluating the performance of MRI in assessing MTM-HCC. The quality assessment of diagnostic studies (QUADAS-2) tool was used to assess the risk of bias.

Inhibiting Lattice Distortion of Ultrahigh Nickel Co-Free Cathode Material for Lithium-Ion Batteries.

Ultrahigh nickel cathode materials are widely utilized due to their outstanding energy and power densities. However, the presence of cobalt can cause significant lattice distortion during charge and discharge cycles, leading to the loss of active lithium, the formation of lattice cracks, and the emergence of a rock salt phase that hinders lithium-ion transport. Herein, we developed a novel cobalt-free, aluminum-doped cathode material, LiNiMnAlO (NMA), which effectively delays the harmful H2-H3 phase transition, reduces lattice distortion, alleviates stress release, and significantly enhances structural stability.

Spleen volume assessment in Ph-negative chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms: a real-life study comparing ultrasonography vs. magnetic resonance imaging scans.

Splenomegaly is a quite common clinical feature of Philadelphia (Ph) negative chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) and its presence may, in some cases, drives treatment decision. Most importantly, palpable splenomegaly is a minor criterion for both pre-fibrotic/early primary myelofibrosis and primary myelofibrosis (PMF) diagnosis, even if clinical assessment by physical examination is poorly reliable and accurate. On the other hand, despite the International Working Group-Myeloproliferative Neoplasms Research and Treatment and European LeukemiaNet guidelines defined spleen response criteria by palpation, they also recognized the highly subjective nature of spleen size assessment by physical examination, and recommended objective confirmation of volume reduction via computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) is driven by the specific fusion gene PML-RARA produced by chromosomal translocation. Three classic isoforms, L, V, and S, are found in more than 95% of APL patients. However, atypical PML-RARA isoforms are usually associated with uncertain disease progression and treatment prognosis.

Immunohistochemical analysis of 147 cases of low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma: refining the immunohistochemical profile of LG-ESS on a large, molecularly confirmed series.

Low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LG-ESS) can present diagnostic challenges, due to its overlapping morphological features with other uterine mesenchymal tumors. Misdiagnosis rates remain significant, and immunohistochemical data for LG-ESS are limited to small series and inconsistent antibody panels. This study aimed to refine the IHC profile of LG-ESS by analyzing a large, molecularly confirmed series of 147 cases using a panel of 24 antibodies, including newer markers like transgelin and smoothelin.

Role of radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of symptomatic distant metastasis of thyroid cancer.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for the treatment of symptomatic distant metastasis of differentiated thyroid carcinoma.

Materials And Methods: The medical records of 12 patients who underwent RFA for the palliative treatment of 18 symptomatic distant metastases from thyroid cancer between January 2008 and December 2020 were analyzed. All patients were assessed for their degree of discomfort and underwent periodical evaluations as outpatients, including clinical examination, imaging, and serologic markers.

Introduction: Exercise- Induced Laryngeal Obstruction (EILO) can lead to disabling exercise related dyspnea and hamper participation in physical activity. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of a standardized speech therapy protocol as treatment for EILO.

Objective: Composite primary outcomes (CPO) (incorporating both mortality and non-mortality outcomes) offer several advantages over mortality as an outcome for critical care research. Our objective was to explore and map the literature to report on CPO evaluated in critical care research.

Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus, and Cochrane Library from January 2000 to January 2024.

Despite its benefits, the procedure poses risks such as ductal spasm, branch pulmonary artery compromise, and pseudoaneurysm formation. This report presents two complex neonatal cases with distinct outcomes.

Measurement of the Vaginal Pressure Profile with the Femfit® and Leakage Events Using a Newly Developed Pad Test during Selected Sports Activities: A Pilot Study.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Measuring changes in the vaginal pressure profile (VPP) with the Femfit® by JUNOFEM during various sports will help improve understanding of the magnitude of pressures generated during such activities and the pelvic floor's response to those pressures. This could aid in selecting safe exercises for women with pelvic floor dysfunction. The primary aim of this study was to measure intravaginal pressure changes using a novel pressure sensor array (Femfit®) during high-risk sports activities in elite female athletes with and without stress urinary incontinence (SUI).

In 2010, we discovered that the metabolic enzyme CTP synthase (CTPS) can assemble a snake like structure inside cells, which we call the cytoophidium. Including CTPS, an increasing number of metabolic enzymes have been found to form cytoophidia in cells.

Developing Empathic Experienced Providers: An Innovative Multicomponent Dementia Curriculum.

Eighteen family nurse practitioner students completed the Developing Empathic Experienced Providers dementia curriculum improvement project. The purpose was to examine the effects of a multicomponent curriculum designed to develop providers willing to work with older adults and to identify curriculum gaps. The project statistically and practically improved dementia knowledge, t(17) = 8.

The state of open science in the field of psychology and law.

Objective: We conducted a survey to catalog the state of open science in the field of psychology and law. We addressed four major questions: (a) How do psycholegal researchers define open science? (b) How do psycholegal researchers perceive open science? (c) How often do psycholegal researchers use various open science practices? and (d) What barriers, if any, do psycholegal researchers face or expect to face when implementing open science practices?

Hypotheses: We did not make specific hypotheses given the exploratory and descriptive nature of the study.

Method: We surveyed 740 psychology and law researchers (45% faculty, 64% doctoral degree, 66% women, and 85% White/non-Hispanic) about their perceptions of and experiences with open science using a mixed-methods design.

Correlates of impaired sleep duration among adults with trauma alone and with posttraumatic stress disorder.

Objective: To elucidate the relationship between impaired sleep duration and trauma/posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) net of sociodemographic, behavioral, and comorbid diagnostic factors.

Method: We investigated this relationship using the National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions-III data set, analyzing a nationally representative sample of 36,309 adults. Our study identified three groups: those without trauma/PTSD, those with trauma but no PTSD, and those with PTSD.

A life course approach to examine cumulative impacts of parental migration on children's psychological well-being and education in Southeast Asia.

Researchers have raised concerns about parental migration's effects on various aspects of the left-behind children's development. However, there is limited understanding of how parental migration influences children over the life course. This study aimed to fill this gap by investigating how exposure to parental migration during childhood shapes later development in Indonesia and the Philippines, two major labor-sending countries in Southeast Asia.

Who cares about caring? Gender stereotypes about communal values emerge early and predict boys' prosocial preferences.

Communal values (i.e., valuing care for and connection with others) are important to individual well-being and societal functioning yet show marked gender differences, with girls valuing communion more than boys do.

Maternal education and prenatal smoking associations with adolescent executive function are substantially confounded by genetics.

Twin studies have suggested extremely high estimates of heritability for adolescent executive function, with no substantial contributions from shared environment. However, developmental psychology research has found significant correlations between executive function outcomes and elements of the environment that would be shared in twins. It is unclear whether these seemingly contradictory findings are best explained by genetic confounding in developmental studies or limitations in twin studies, which can potentially underestimate shared environment.

The development of cardinal extension: From counting to exact equality.

Numerate adults know that when two sets are equal, they should be labeled by the same number word. We explored the development of this principle-sometimes called "cardinal extension"-and how it relates to children's other numerical abilities. Experiment 1 revealed that 2- to 5-year-old children who could accurately count large sets often inferred that two equal sets should be labeled with the same number word, unlike children who could not accurately count large sets.

Research has demonstrated that social-ecological risk and protective factors at multiple levels are associated with sexual behavior in adolescence. However, relatively little is known about how different patterns of these factors may work together in combination to influence sexual risk. The anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is a granulosa cell-derived hormone that has been associated with female fertility and reflects the population of growing follicles. This study aimed to evaluate the average concentration of AMH in Lipizzaner mares, as well as to determine the relationship between AMH concentration and follicle number and size. We also investigated the relationship between the age of mares and their AMH levels.

Positionality statements: Intersectional considerations for rehabilitation psychology.

Introduction: Positionality statements accompanying peer-reviewed publications are increasingly being implemented in academic journals across many disciplines, including psychology. These statements serve as transparent, public acknowledgments of the authors' identities, which can offer valuable insight into the authors' work in the context of their lived experiences and potential biases. However, journal editors and associated staff risk harm by uniformly adopting a policy on positionality statements without consideration of the unintended consequences of implementing such practices.

Structural and theoretical studies of amantadinium fenamates.

Two new crystals of amantadinium salts were obtained from fenamic and tolfenamic acid. The salt of fenamic acid is a model compound for interaction analysis, while amantadinium tolfenamate is a composition of a drug used in the treatment of symptoms of Parkinsonism and as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. The crystal structures were studied and a theoretical analysis of the hydrogen bonds and weak interactions was carried out using quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) and non-covalent interaction (NCI) methods.
