This study evaluated how healthy lifestyle motivators (MHLs) influence the Peruvian market's willingness to consume healthy food (WCHBF). The main objective was to analyze the relationship of variables, such as attitude (ATT), perceived behavioral control (PBC), self-identity (SI), and moral norms (MN) with the WCHBF. This study adopted a quantitative, non-experimental, and cross-sectional approach, using a self-administered questionnaire for data collection.

This study aimed to enhance the properties and compostability of active poly(lactic acid) (PLA) films by incorporating β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) inclusion complexes with allyl isothiocyanate (AITC). Films were prepared using melt extrusion and characterized based on their structural, chemical, morphological, thermal, and barrier properties. These inclusion complexes improved the thermal stability and moisture absorption of films, enhancing disintegration under composting conditions.

In the current consumer context, the trend towards a healthy lifestyle has significantly increased the demand for healthy foods. This study aims to identify the relationship between the brand image (BI) and purchase intention (PI) of these products and how variables such as perceived brand quality (BPQ) and brand satisfaction (BS) influence brand trust (BT) and brand loyalty (BL) in this relationship. The methodology includes a quantitative approach, using non-probability convenience sampling.

(1) Background: Physical inactivity is a recognized global problem, with schools identified by UNESCO and WHO as critical settings for intervention. Despite existing efforts, the prevalence of physical inactivity remains high. This study aims to explore the potential of the concept of body practices as a novel framework to address physical inactivity within school contexts, potentially offering an alternative to traditional intervention models.

Background: Precise and unequivocal specification of intervention content is key to facilitating the accumulation and implementation of knowledge. The Behaviour Change Technique Taxonomy v1 (BCTTv1) is the most widely used classification of behaviour change techniques (BCTs), providing a shared, standardized vocabulary to identify the active ingredients of behavioural interventions. However, the BCTTv1 is only available in English and this hampers its broad use and adoption.

TRPM4 is a non-selective cation channel activated by intracellular Ca but only permeable to monovalent cations, its activation regulates membrane potential and intracellular calcium. This channel participates in the migration and adhesion of non-excitable cells and forms an integral part of the focal adhesion complex. In neurons, TRPM4 expression starts before birth and its function at this stage is not clear, but it may function in processes such as neurite development.

Among the most important aquaculture resources for our country, salmon and trout stand out. Their production has increased significantly in recent decades, making them two of the most valuable resources in economic terms. However, high aquaculture production has allowed many pathogens to proliferate, causing infectious diseases and significant production losses.

To analyze the mechanism of copper accumulation in the marine alga , it was cultivated with 10 μM of copper, with 10 μM of copper and increasing concentrations of a sulfide donor (NaHS) for 0 to 7 days, and with 10 μM of copper and a concentration of the sulfide acceptor (hypotaurine) for 5 days. The level of intracellular copper was determined as well as the level of glutathione (GSH) and phytochelatins (PCs) and the expression of metallothioneins (UcMTs). The level of intracellular copper in the algae treated with copper increased at day 1, slightly increased until day 5 and remained unchanged until day 7.

Drosophila phototransduction in light-sensitive microvilli involves a metabotropic signaling cascade. Photoisomerized rhodopsin couples to G-protein, activating phospholipase C, which cleaves phosphatidylinositol bisphosphate (PIP2) into inositol trisphosphate, diacylglycerol (DAG) and a proton. DAG is converted into phosphatidic acid by DAG-kinase and metabolized to L-linoleoyl glycerol (2-LG) by DAG-lipase.

A family of inorganic-organic hybrid crystalline materials made up of organic ligands and metal cations or clusters is known as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Because of their unique stability, intriguing characteristics, and structural diversity, zirconium-based MOFs (Zr-MOFs) are regarded as one of the most interesting families of MOF materials for real-world applications. Zr-MOFs that have the ligands, metal nodes, and guest molecules enclosed show distinct electrochemical reactions.

This article addresses the semantic segmentation of laparoscopic surgery images, placing special emphasis on the segmentation of structures with a smaller number of observations. As a result of this study, adjustment parameters are proposed for deep neural network architectures, enabling a robust segmentation of all structures in the surgical scene. The U-Net architecture with five encoder-decoders (U-Net5ed), SegNet-VGG19, and DeepLabv3+ employing different backbones are implemented.

[Cu(NN)]ClO is a copper (I) complex, where NN is an imine ligand 6-((quinolin-2-ylmethylene) amino)-2H-chromen-2-one obtained by derivatization of natural compound coumarin, developed for the treatment of infectious diseases that affect salmonids. In previous research, we showed that the Cu(I) coordination complex possesses antibacterial activity against , providing protection against this pathogen in rainbow trout during challenge assays (with an RPS of 50%). In the present study, the effects of administering [Cu(NN)]ClO to over a 60-days period were evaluated with regard to systemic immune response and its potential to alter intestinal microbiota composition.

This study explores the Hydrothermal Carbonization (HTC) treatment of lignocellulosic biomass blends, delving into the influence of several key parameters: temperature, additive nature and dosage, residence time, and biomass composition. Rapeseeds, Pinus radiata sawdust, oat husks, and pressed olive served as the studied biomasses. One hundred twenty-eight experiments were conducted to assess the effects on mass yield (MY), energy yield (EY), higher heating value (HHV), and final ash content (ASH) by a Factorial Experimental Design.

Despite significant efforts by scientists in the development of advanced nanotechnology materials for smart diagnosis devices and drug delivery systems, the success of clinical trials remains largely elusive. In order to address this biomedical challenge, magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have gained attention as a promising candidate due to their theranostic properties, which allow the simultaneous treatment and diagnosis of a disease. Moreover, MNPs have advantageous characteristics such as a larger surface area, high surface-to-volume ratio, enhanced mobility, mass transference and, more notably, easy manipulation under external magnetic fields.

The $882 billion textile trade in 2021 poses environmental concerns, highlighting the importance of encouraging a circular economy to attain sustainable textiles. Therefore, policies must prioritize textile recycling, particularly in developing countries, and sharing information throughout the value chain. This research aims to explore the potential environmental benefits of two industrial recycling processes for textile residues versus the traditional waste management and production process through a life cycle assessment applying the ReCiPe method at midpoint and endpoint levels focusing on generating significant data availability and broader assessment than existing literature to support decision making related to recycling systems for textile residues.
