Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a rare and complex disease defined by congenital aplasia of the vagina and uterus in 46,XX women, often associated with kidney and urinary tract anomalies. The aetiopathogenesis of MRKH syndrome is still largely unknown. Herein, we investigated the role of selected candidate genes in the aetiopathogenesis of MRKH syndrome, with a focus on , which encodes for protein kinase X.

Checkpoint inhibitor-based immunotherapy is opening a promising scenario in oncology, with objective responses registered in multiple cancer types. However, reliable predictive markers of tumor responsiveness are still lacking. These markers need to be urgently identified for a better selection of patients that can be candidates for immunotherapy.

Cardiovascular involvement is relatively rare in osteogenesis imperfecta and has a predilection for left-sided cardiac valves. We report a 5 years old female child affected by osteogenesis imperfecta type I in which an asymptomatic mild form of Ebstein's anomaly, a congenital tricuspid malformation, was diagnosed during routinely investigation. The association of these two relatively rare entities could provide new insight to better understand the pathogenesis of cardiac involvement in osteogenesis imperfecta.
