Osteosarcopenia (OSP) is a geriatric syndrome characterized by the coexistence of osteoporosis and sarcopenia and associated with an increased risk of fragility fractures, disability, and mortality. For patients with this syndrome, musculoskeletal pain represents the most significant challenge since, in addition to limiting the individual's functionality and promoting disability, it has a huge psychological burden involving anxiety, depression, and social withdrawal. Bithalamic infarction in a tentorial dural artero-venous fistula and thalamic dementia: a case report and systematic review.

Purpose: To report a case of bilateral thalamic infarction (BTI) presenting as progressive thalamic dementia due to a midline tentorial dAVF (TdAVF) and to provide a systematic review of the literature.

Methods: We performed a systematic literature review of previously reported cases of bi-thalamic signal changes due to dAVF considering population characteristics, clinical presentation, imaging findings, treatments, and outcomes.

Matching BRCA and prostate cancer in a public health system: Report of the Italian Society for Uro-Oncology (SIUrO) consensus project.

The recent approval of PARP inhibitors for the treatment of metastatic -castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) patients with BRCA mutations firstly introduced the possibility of proposing a targeted treatment in this disease. However, the availability of this therapeutic option raises a number of questions concerning the management of prostate cancer in everyday clinical practice: the timing and method of detecting BRCA mutations, the therapeutic implications of the detection, and the screening of the members of the family of a prostate cancer patient with a BRCA alteration. These challenging issues led the Italian Society for Uro-Oncology (SIUrO) to organise a Consensus Conference aimed to develop suggestions capable of supporting clinicians managing prostate cancer patients.

Human Arboviral Infections in Italy: Past, Current, and Future Challenges.

Arboviruses represent a public health concern in many European countries, including Italy, mostly because they can infect humans, causing potentially severe emergent or re-emergent diseases, with epidemic outbreaks and the introduction of endemic circulation of new species previously confined to tropical and sub-tropical regions. In this review, we summarize the Italian epidemiology of arboviral infection over the past 10 years, describing both endemic and imported arboviral infections, vector distribution, and the influence of climate change on vector ecology. Strengthening surveillance systems at a national and international level is highly recommended to be prepared to face potential threats due to arbovirus diffusion.

In this paper, we describe a rare case of double aortic arch with dominant right arch with focal narrowing of the distal left arch and descendent aorta's dilatation, associated with pulmonary embolism and left subclavian steal syndrome, found in a 59-year-old woman with a history of dysphagia, chest discomfort, and left arm claudication. Diagnosis of this condition was made with a sub-optimal pulmonary CT-angiography with a combination of characteristic features of double aortic arch and vascular rings. Being aware of these conditions is crucial to avoid misclassification and surgical and endovascular complications.
