This paper reports a study of the uptake of Ga-DOTATOC in pancreatic NETs (pNETs) in order to assess the feasibility of a new RGS approach using Y-DOTATOC. Tumor and healthy pancreas uptakes were estimated from Ga-DOTATOC PET/CT scans of 30 patients with pNETs.

Phytoremediation potential of duckweeds (Lemna minuta, Lemna minor) to remove nutrients from simulated wastewater was analyzed. In two separate experiments, the two species were grown for 28 days in waters enriched with nitrate and phosphate to simulate nutrient concentrations of domestic wastewater. Water physical and chemical measurements (temperature, pH, conductivity, oxygen) and plant physiological and biochemical analysis (biomass, relative growth rate-RGR, nutrient and chlorophyll contents, peroxidative damage, bioconcentration factor-BCF) were made to test and compare the phytoremediation capacity of the two Lemna species.

The following paper will present and discuss six cases of pigmented lesions and the advantages of the one-step melanoma surgery in their management.

Low dose of isotretinoin: A comprehensive review.

Isotretinoin is a first-generation retinoid initially approved for the treatment of severe cases of acne vulgaris (nodulocystic acne). Because of its broad anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties, it has been used beyond its initial approval in a myriad of other indications. Adverse effects of isotretinoin vary from xerosis to teratogenicity.
