In this study, p-CoO/n-TiO nanocomposites were synthesized using different ratios of cobalt and titanium precursors through a hydrothermal method. These nanocomposites demonstrated notable potential in photocatalytic applications for hydrogen production and orange-red dye degradation under sunlight. Various techniques, including XRD, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, FESEM, TEM, and BET analysis, were used to comprehensively characterize their structural, morphological, and optical properties.

The large amount of positive genetic association data in a number of bone diseases suggests functional consequences of Vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphism. In the present study, four microsatellite markers viz., D12S1633, D12S1635, D12S347, and D12S96, that lie in the vicinity of the VDR gene on chromosome 12 were selected to assess the allele distribution pattern and diversity among three groups of individuals - normal, osteopenia and osteoporosis.

The compounds were characterized by melting point, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and magnetic susceptibility. The antimicrobial activity of the compounds were determined by disk diffusion method and broth micro-dilution techniques using Mueller Hinton medium against the following organisms: S.

The C-3 substituted phenylazo derivatives of lawsone (2-hydroxy-l,4 p-naphthoquinone, III) were synthesized and characterized. The X-ray crystal structure was determined for the ligand 3-(3'-methyl phenylazo) lawsone. The copper complexes of these derivatives were found to possess 1:2 metal stoichiometry and square planar geometries with intermolecular stackings, resulting in antiferromagnetic exchange interactions.

Their ability to cleave DNA has been investigated under aerobic conditions at room temperature and in the presence and absence of H(2) O(2). The plasmid DNA pBR322 was effectively cleaved by these complexes in a concentration dependant manner.
