The title ferrocene derivative, [Fe(CH)(CNO)], including an alkyne bonded to a -nitro-phenyl substituent, which was synthesized from a copper-free Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction between ethynylferrocene and 4-bromo-1-nitro-benzene, crystallizes in the 2/ space group. In the ferrocene unit, the penta-dienyl (Cps) rings are in an eclipsed conformation. The angle of rotation between the substituted cyclo-penta-dienyl ring and the -nitro-phenyl group is 6.

The mol-ecule displays a planar geometry with the benzene ring in the same plane as its three substituents. It lies on a mirror plane perpendicular to [010] with the iodo, cyano, and the sulfur and axial fluorine atoms of the penta-fluoro-sulfanyl substituent in the plane of the mol-ecule.

This study compares seven ML methods to predict warfarin dosing in Caribbean Hispanics. This is a secondary analysis of genetic and non-genetic clinical data from 190 cardiovascular Hispanic patients.

Metal nanoparticles have significant interaction cross-sections with electromagnetic waves due to their large surface area-to-volume ratio, which can be exploited in cancer radiotherapy to locally enhance the radiation dose deposition in tumors. Health and Ecological Aspects of Stray Cats in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico: Baseline Information to Develop an Effective Control Program.

The overpopulation of stray cats in urban areas represents a potential risk for humans, as stray cats may carry diseases, such as toxoplasmosis, and virus such as rabies, the feline immunodeficiency, and the feline leukemia. In Old San Juan, a historic neighborhood and one of the most touristic places in Puerto Rico, there is an overpopulation of stray cats. In this study, we generated baseline information fundamental to developing a successful control program by estimating the stray cat population size, density, and spatial distribution.

Thermoelectric properties and thermal tolerance of indium tin oxide nanowires.

Highly crystalline indium tin oxide (ITO) nanowires were grown via a vapor-liquid-solid method, with thermal tolerance up to ∼1300 °C. We report the electric and thermoelectric properties of the ITO nanowires before and after heat treatments and draw conclusions about their applicability as thermoelectric building blocks in nanodevices that can operate in high temperature conditions. The Seebeck coefficient and the thermal and electrical conductivities were measured in each individual nanowire by means of specialized micro-bridge thermometry devices.
