While studies have focused on pupal powders obtained through natural or artificial mulberry-based diets, this research builds on ethnoentomological knowledge of the use of dandelion as a short-term mulberry substitute, in a mixed mulberry-dandelion diet throughout larval development. Through proximate analyses, amino acid and fatty acid profiling, mineral and carbohydrate composition, as well as antioxidant activity assays, we investigated how dietary variation affects larvae.

Determination of Gingival Index and Salivary Proinflammatory Cytokines (Interleukin 6 and Tumour Necrosis Factor α) After Chemical-Mechanical Retraction Procedure.

The aim of this study was to test the impact of the gingival chemical-mechanical retraction procedure on the value of the gingival index (GI) and salivary concentrations of interleukin 6 (IL-6) and tumour necrosis factor α (TNF-α). The importance of this clinical study is that it provides an exact conclusion regarding the behaviour of the gingival tissue after the application of an impregnated retraction cord in the gingival sulcus of the subjects. The research was conducted as a prospective clinical study.

Assessing aesthetic impressions with pictorial measures: A novel approach in empirical aesthetics.

This study introduces pictorial technique (PT) as an innovative method in empirical aesthetics to assess aesthetic impressions of visual artworks. Forty participants, drawn from general and artistic populations, evaluated nine paintings representing abstract, traditional figural, and modern figural styles using the PT and aesthetic rating scales. The PT enabled participants to mark impactful areas within artworks, transforming subjective impressions into spatial data visualized as heatmaps.

Lateral Ventricle Neurocysticercosis: A Systematic Review of Case Reports and Case Series.

We performed a literature review focusing on case reports and case series studies, aiming to better define the clinical presentation of isolated lateral intraventricular neurocysticercosis (LVNCC) and to discuss the current knowledge of its characteristics, patient demographics, clinical manifestations, treatment, and prognosis, based on the collected data. Data for this study were gathered by conducting searches on the Medline database and Google Scholar using various combinations of the following terms "intraventricular neurocysticercosis (IVNCC)," "brain ventricle cyst," "cysticercosis of lateral brain ventricles," "cysticercus cyst in brain ventricles," and "intraventricular cystic brain lesion." Articles published in English between January 1980 and March 2023 that reported cases of LVNCC were selected for analysis.

The following instruments were used: questionnaire about: socio-demographic characteristics, intensity of the Internet use, content categories and online activities on the Internet; Facebook (FB) usage and life habits; The Internet Use Disorder Scale (IUDS).

Effects of Structured Physical Activity on Motor Fitness in Preschool Children.

The aim was to investigate the impact of a specific structured movement activities (SMA) program compared to free play activity (FRP) on the strength, speed, agility, coordination, and balance of motor fitness (MF) in 6-year-old boys and girls. A total of 53 children (24 boys, 29 girls) were randomly allocated to either the SMA group or the FRP group. Both group activities were administered three times a week over a 6-month period.

Moreover, the standards of beauty suggest that the center of the face of an individual with a full set of teeth should match the center of the maxillary and mandibular dental arches. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comparative cross-sectional study on the matching of the shape of the face, maxillary central incisor and maxillary dental arch as well as the matching of the midfacial line and dental arches in subjects with complete dentition.

Reconstruction of Moderately and Severely Atrophic Scalp-A Multicentric Experience in Surgical Treatment of Patients Irradiated for Tinea Capitis in Childhood and Surgical Algorithm.

: Before the introduction of griseofluvin, the use of X-ray radiation was the treatment of choice for tinea capitis. More than half a century later various types of tumors have been found to be associated with childhood irradiation due to tinea capitis, most commonly cancers of the head and neck, as well as brain tumors. The often unusually aggressive and recurrent nature of these tumors necessitates the need for repeated surgeries, while the atrophic skin with an impaired vascular supply due to radiation often poses an additional challenge for defect reconstruction.

Influence of Heat Stress on Body Temperatures Measured by Infrared Thermography, Blood Metabolic Parameters and Its Correlation in Sheep.

The aim of this research is to examine the influence of heat stress (HS) on body temperature (BT) measured rectally (RT) or by infrared thermography (IRT) of the nose (NT), eye (ET), leg (LT) and abdominal (AT) regions in intensively and extensively breed sheep and to detect a correlation between body temperature and metabolic response in sheep. A total of 33 Wurttemberg × Sjenica Pramenka sheep breeds were examined, 17 ewes were from outdoors and 16 were from indoor housing systems during three experimental periods (thermoneutral period, severe HS and moderate HS). Sheep under HS have a higher BT, and the magnitude of BT measured by infrared thermography (IRT) was higher than RT.

Development and psychometric properties of the Serbian version of the Orofacial Esthetic Scale.

Objective: The aim of the study was to develop the Serbian language version of the Orofacial Esthetic Scale questionnaire (OES SERB) and to evaluate its psychometric properties.

Methods: The study included 226 subjects - 110 dental students and 116 patients (the validation sample). The students answered all the questions individually with the help of supervisors, whereas the prosthodontic patients were interviewed by the same trained dentist.

In the present paper, we have analytically explored the small variations of the local pressure in the trapped air film of both sides of the clamped circular capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducer (CMUT), which consists of a thin movable membrane of silicon nitride (SiN). This time-independent pressure profile has been investigated thoroughly by solving the associated linear Reynold's equation in the framework of three analytical models, viz. membrane model, plate model, and non-local plate model.
