Recently, there has been significant interest in photocatalytic reactions involving graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) due to its sp-hybridized carbon and nitrogen content and it is an ideal candidate for blending with other materials to enhance performance. Here, we have synthesized and analyzed both doped and undoped g-CN nanoparticles. Specifically, we co-doped sulfur (S) into g-CN, integrated it with ZnO particles, and investigated the photocatalytic potential of these nanocomposites to remove Safranin-O dye.

In current research, two functional components, , hydrazone and bisphenol sulfide were combined to get useful supramolecules in medicinal chemistry. Herein 25 new 4,4'-thiodiphenol bis-acylhydrazones were synthesized in good to excellent yields. Initially ethyl-2-chloroacetate was reacted with 4,4'-thiodiphenol, which was further reacted with excess hydrazine hydrate to produce 2,2'-((thiobis(4,1-phenylene))bis(oxy))di(acetohydrazide), which was then combined with various aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes to get the desired products (hydrazones, 4a-4y).

Cancer is the second leading cause of death all around the world. The natural compounds derived from the endophytic flora of fungi are possible solutions to cancer treatment because they are safe for health, cost-effective, biocompatible and have fewer toxicity issues. The active ingredients in endophytic fungi that are responsible for anti-cancer activities are alkaloids, terpenoids, glycosides, saponin, peptides, steroids, phenols, quinones, and flavonoids.
