Here, we describe the synthesis and characterization of fluorescent self-assembling nanomicelles (NMs) based on a biocompatible polysaccharide (cellulose, CE) functionalized with a tetraphenyl ethylene derivative (TPEHy) and loaded with Doxorubicin (DOX) with aggregation-induced emission (AIE) properties and pH-dependent drug release.
