The study examined pain symptoms in patients following oral mucosa biopsies while assessing two topical treatments: Aloclair gel and chlorhexidine gel.
A total of 90 patients were randomly assigned to three groups: one with no treatment, one with Aloclair gel, and one with chlorhexidine gel, over a week post-surgery.
Results indicated that pain was highest in the control group, with both treatments significantly reducing pain levels compared to no treatment, especially notable at the lip site.
