Colorless single crystals of the zero-dimensional hybrid compound, (CHN)[PdCl]·2HO were acquired through the slow evaporation technique. The crystal structure was explored using SC-XRD, which demonstrates that the material crystallizes in the centrosymmetric space group 1̄ of the triclinic system. The density functional theory method at the B3LYP/Lan2mb basis set level was employed to establish the optimized geometry and vibrational frequencies of the title compound.

In the present study, () flavonoid extract (FV) was characterized by HPLC analyses and five compounds were detected. Further, to describe the chemical content of the matrix, GC-MS analyses after silylation were performed; the obtained results showed the presence of a large number of components belonging to several chemical classes, mostly sugar alcohols, sugars, fatty acids, and terpenes. Firstly, the antibacterial activities of this fraction and linalool (Lin) were evaluated against eight foodborne pathogenic strains with MIC values between 2.

Evaluation of Halophyte Biopotential as an Unused Natural Resource: The Case of .

Biomolecules

October 2022

Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences and Arts in Balgarn, University of Bisha, Bisha 61922, Saudi Arabia.

Halophytes are plant species widely distributed in saline habitats, such as beaches, postindustrial wastelands, irrigated lands, salt flats, and others. Excessive salt level, known to limit plant growth, is not harmful to halophytes, which have developed a variety of defense mechanisms allowing them to colonize harsh environments. Plants under stress are known to respond with several morpho-anatomical adaptations, but also to enhance the production of secondary metabolites to better cope with difficult conditions.

In this paper, three adsorption isotherms of N719 dye on two different adsorbents, ZnO nanopowder and ZnO nanorods, at three different thicknesses have been fitted using a monolayer model with three types of receptor sites treated by statistical physics. The model involved parameters are: three coefficients ( , and ) indicating the numbers of adsorbed dye molecules per site, three parameters ( , and ) indicating the receptor site densities and three adsorption energies ((- ), (- ) and (- )). The evolution of these parameters in relation with thickness of ZnO was discussed.

For several years, environmental exogenous agents, called endocrine disruptors, are suspected to interfere with the essential functions of reproduction and development in many living organisms. In this study, endocrine disruptors including five phthalates and two bisphenols contents in finished products were assayed and their estrogenic activity were measured by using the Yeast Estrogen Screen system with respect to human and trout estrogen receptors hERα and rtER. Independently of the estrogen receptor, only short-chain phthalates (DBP and BBP) and the two bisphenols exhibited an estrogenic activity.
