Background: Checkpoint inhibitors provide an effective approach for the melanoma treatment. They prolong lymphocyte effects, which explains the cytotoxicity underlying immune-related adverse events (IrAEs). Cutaneous IrAEs affect nearly 40% of PD-1i and 50% of CTLA4i-treated patients.

The purpose of this multicenter, retrospective, observational study was to investigate the association between intraoperative component positioning and soft tissue balancing, as reported by robotic technology for a cohort of patients who received robotic arm-assisted lateral unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) as well as short-term clinical follow-up of these patients. Between 2013 and 2016, 78 patients (79 knees) underwent robotic arm-assisted lateral UKAs at two centers. Pre- and postoperatively, patients were administered the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Score (KOOS) and the Forgotten Joint Score-12 (FJS-12).

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a rare condition in the pediatric population, but it is usually associated with worse prognosis compared to the adult population. Surgical resection is the gold standard and most effective treatment for CRC. Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and Heated Intra-Peritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a feasible option in resectable primary tumour with carcinomatosis and non-evidence of extra-abdominal disease.

Objective: We investigated the serum level of possible new haptens in 15 heavy meat consumers for sport fitness affected by various kinds of food intolerance and who had ever been administered antibiotics in their life for clinical problems.
Methods: Forty ml of blood were drawn from each patient and analyzed, by means of an ELISA test, in order to possibly identify the presence of an undue contaminant with hapten properties.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide, and the management of HCC has radically changed in recent years. Over the last few years, many elderly patients have been considered less amenable to effective treatments compared to younger patients, due to the accumulation of different diseases during their lives. This assumption has now been reviewed and some key points have been outlined such as the necessity of a careful selection of patients, which may lead to satisfactory results after the treatment of elderly patients with HCC.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has been recently recognized as an important subgroup of breast cancer with a distinct outcome and therapeutic approach compared with other breast cancer subgroups. Because TNBC is defined by the absence of a target (either hormone receptors or HER-2), conventional cytotoxic therapy is still the mainstay of treatment. This report focuses on the current state and recent advances in managing TNBC.

Objective: Both postmenopausal state and diabetes are associated with endothelial dysfunction and are well-known risk factors for atherosclerosis. However, the relationship of endothelium-dependent vasodilation and diabetes has never been prospectively evaluated. This study provided the opportunity to assess the association between endothelial vasodilation function and the incidence of diabetes in a cohort of apparently healthy postmenopausal women.
