This study examines cesarean section (C-section) deliveries in Ghana from 2008 to 2017 in 10 regions, distinguishing between scheduled and emergency procedures. Scheduled C-sections target specific maternal conditions, such as advanced age, multiparity, and medical history, while emergency C-sections address acute fetal distress, preeclampsia, bleeding, and other urgent situations. The analysis reveals various regional patterns, with the Brong-Ahafo Region showing a potential deceleration after 2017 and the Upper West Region indicating a possible acceleration.

The Bewadze-Mankoadze pegmatites in the Kibi-Winneba Belt of Ghana host several columbite group minerals (WGM) and wodginite group minerals (WGM) as well as other rare and radioactive elements such as uraninite and cesium. In this study, petrographic studies of rock samples from pegmatite outcrops and statistical analysis of the major and minor elements were conducted to identify the pathfinder elements of a new tantalum deposit in the area. Ten samples were obtained from each town for whole-rock geochemistry and thin sections were prepared from some of the samples taken for petrographic analysis.

In this paper, we present the development and evaluation of a contextually relevant, cost-effective, multihop cluster-based agricultural Internet of Things (MCA-IoT) network. This network utilizes commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) and LoRa communication technologies, along with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ (RPi 3 B+), to address the challenges of climate change-induced global food insecurity in smart farming applications. In this paper, an empirical model with the critical number of incidences and deaths for female cancers as adjustable parameters has been developed using life expectancy data from GLOBOCAN world estimates on cancer types. The model was developed based on the cumulative risk and exponential correlation techniques such that the significance of the adjustable parameters ascertains the strength of this research in two ways. First, it indicates indicates the rapid increase in female cancer morbidity with increase in the number of male cancer cases, regardless of incidence or mortality.

Studies have indicated that the risk of malaria, particularly its association with anaemia in pregnant women, increases when treated bed nets are not used. This paper utilizes a statistical mechanical model to investigate whether there is a statistical relationship between the presence or absence of anaemia in pregnant and non-pregnant women and their decision to sleep under treated bed nets. The main objective of this study was to map the quality of groundwater for domestic use in the Nabogo Basin, a sub-catchment of the White Volta Basin in Ghana, by applying machine learning techniques. The study was conducted by applying the Random Forest (RF) machine learning algorithm to predict groundwater quality, by utilizing factors that influence groundwater occurrence and quality such as Elevation, Topographical Wetness Index (TWI), Slope length (LS), Lithology, Soil type, Normalize Different Vegetation Index (NDVI), Rainfall, Aspect, Slope, Plan Curvature (PLC), Profile Curvature (PRC), Lineament density, Distance to faults, and Drainage density. The groundwater quality of the area was predicted by building a Random Forest model based on computed Arithmetic Water Quality Indices (WQI) (as dependent variable) of existing boreholes, to serve as an indicator of the groundwater quality.

In the background of the strong oil wettability and low production by water flooding in carbonate reservoirs, low-salinity water containing sulfate ions can significantly change the surface wettability of carbonate rocks and thus increase the sweeping area; however, the absorption and desorption mechanisms of the oil film in the carbonate rock surface remain unclear. This paper analyzed the wettability alternation of carbonate rocks' surface in pure water and sodium sulfate solution. At the same time, MD (Materials Studio) software was used to simulate the formation process of the oil film and the effect of sulfate ions on the desorption of the oil film on the surface of carbonate rocks.
