Study Question: Are live birth rates (LBRs) per woman following flexible progestin-primed ovarian stimulation (fPPOS) treatment non-inferior to LBRs per woman following the conventional GnRH-antagonist protocol in expected suboptimal responders undergoing freeze-all cycles in assisted reproduction treatment?

Summary Answer: In women expected to have a suboptimal response, the 12-month likelihood of live birth with the fPPOS treatment did not achieve the non-inferiority criteria when compared to the standard GnRH antagonist protocol for IVF/ICSI treatment with a freeze-all strategy.

What Is Known Already: The standard PPOS protocol is effective for ovarian stimulation, where medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) is conventionally administered in the early follicular phase for ovulatory suppression. Inflammation and oxidative stress play crucial roles in the development and progression of skeletal muscle diseases. This review aims to examine the existing evidence regarding the involvement and inhibition of APE1/Ref-1 (apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1/redox factor 1) in diseases, then extrapolate this evidence to the context of skeletal muscle and discuss the potential beneficial effects of APE1/Ref-1 inhibition in ameliorating myopathy with a particular focus on dystrophic pathology. Currently, therapeutic interventions targeting pathways, such as nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NF-κB) and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF2), have shown limited efficacy in both clinical and preclinical settings.

Demographics of Feline Lymphoma in Australian Cat Populations: 1705 Cases.

Lymphoma is the most common haematopoietic cancer in cats with few large studies evaluating breed and sex as risk factors for the disease. Australia's geographic isolation and quarantine rules have led to a potentially restricted genetic pool and, currently, there have not been any large local epidemiological studies reported. A total of 1705 lymphoma cases were identified from several sources and compared to a reference population of 85,741 cats, and represent cats that are presented to veterinary clinics.

Prognostic Factors in 26 Cats Undergoing Surgery for Extra-Hepatic Biliary Obstruction.

Surgical management of feline extra-hepatic biliary obstruction (EHBO) has poor survival rates with few prognostic factors reported in the literature. The etiology and clinical findings of feline EHBO and their influence on short-(2 weeks-6 months) and long-term (>6 months) survival and prognosis were examined in an observational clinical retrospective study of 26 client-owned cats undergoing surgery for biliary obstruction at one institution between 2012 and 2020. The etiology of EHBO was determined in 21/26 cats, which included inflammatory causes (14/21), neoplastic causes (6/21), and a duodenal foreign body (1/21).

To Change or Not to Change: Perceptions and Experiential Knowledge of Tennis Coaches When Modifying Grip Technique.

The purpose of this study was to explore the experiential knowledge of tennis coaches as it related to the development of grip positions in tennis athletes. Accredited tennis coaches (n = 11) completed semi-structured interviews consisting of open-ended questions about their coaching background, the importance of grip positions compared with other areas of foundational development, and their opinions on using physically-constraining tools (PCTs). Two major themes, "Grip positions are an adaptive skill" and "Why and how do I modify an athlete's grip?", were identified.

We examined the effect of botulinum toxin-A on upper limb impairments and activity limitations in chronic stroke. This study is a secondary analysis of control group data from a national, multicenter, Phase III randomized trial with a masked outcome assessment. We studied 71 stroke survivors who received a botulinum toxin-A injection in any muscle(s) that crosses the wrist due to significant spasticity after a stroke greater than 3 months previously.

This retrospective cohort study, on consecutive patients referred for CTCA for suspected CAD, grouped patients by body mass index.

Automatic Recognition of Motor Skills in Triathlon: A Novel Tool for Measuring Movement Cadence and Cycling Tasks.

: The purpose of this research was to create a peak detection algorithm and machine learning model for use in triathlon. The algorithm and model aimed to automatically measure movement cadence in all three disciplines of a triathlon using data from a single inertial measurement unit and to recognise the occurrence and duration of cycling task changes. : Six triathletes were recruited to participate in a triathlon while wearing a single trunk-mounted measurement unit and were filmed throughout.

Wearable Sensors and Motion Analysis for Neurological Patient Support.

This work discusses the state of the art and challenges in using wearable sensors for the monitoring of neurological patients. The authors share their experience from their participation in numerous projects, ranging from drug trials to rehabilitation intervention assessment, and identify the obstacles in the way of the integrated adoption of wearable sensors in clinical and rehabilitation practices for neurological patients. Several highly promising developments are outlined and analyzed.

Valine Restriction Extends Survival in a Drosophila Model of Short-Chain Enoyl-CoA Hydratase 1 (ECHS1) Deficiency.

Short-chain enoyl-CoA hydratase 1 deficiency (ECHS1D) is a rare genetic disorder caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in the ECHS1 gene. ECHS1D is characterised by severe neurological and physical impairment that often leads to childhood mortality. Therapies such as protein and single nutrient-restricted diets show poor efficacy, whereas the development of new treatments is hindered by the low prevalence of the disorder and a lack of model systems for treatment testing.

Self-objectification and eating disorder psychopathology in women: the mediating role of rumination.

Objectification theory posits that self-objectification can lead to disordered eating, with significant positive correlations between self-objectification and eating disorder (ED) psychopathology found in women in both clinical and non-clinical samples. Maladaptive rumination is another process frequently associated with EDs, but its relationship with self-objectification and ED psychopathology needs further investigation. Our aim was to conduct a preliminary test to investigate whether maladaptive rumination mediated the relationship between self-objectification and ED psychopathology in women.
