Introduction: The optimal revascularization strategy for patients with myocardial infarction (MI) and multivessel coronary artery disease (CAD) remains an area of research and debate. Fractional flow reserve (FFR)-guided complete revascularization (CR) by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has emerged as an alternative to traditional culprit-only PCI.
Objective: To investigate the outcomes of FFR-guided CR versus culprit-only PCI in patients with MI and multivessel CAD.

Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) is currently the only treatment modality that is capable of curing myelofibrosis (MF). Although outcomes of AHSCT have improved vastly in recent years owing to advancements in HLA typing, conditioning regimens, and supportive care, it remains a procedure with a considerable risk in MF patients due to conditioning regimen related toxicity, higher rates of graft failure, infections, and graft versus host disease (GVHD). Recent progress in the treatment and prevention of GVHD with post-transplant cyclophosphamide has also rendered transplantation from alternative donors feasible and safer, thus improving access to patients without HLA-identical donors.

Background: Studies exploring predictors of arrhythmias in the population primarily hospitalized for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) are scarce. Understanding this is crucial for risk stratification and appropriate management.
Methods: Using the 2020 National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database, we identified primary admissions for COVID-19.

Background: Culprit-only percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is commonly performed for acute coronary syndrome (ACS) with multivessel coronary artery disease (MVD) in the elderly. Complete revascularization has been shown to benefit the general population, yet its safety and efficacy in older patients are uncertain.
Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, we systematically searched PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing complete versus culprit-only PCI in patients ≥65 years old with ACS and MVD.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) represents 80% of acute leukemia in adults and is characterized by clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cells secondary to genomic mutations, rendering a selective growth advantage to the mutant clones. NPM1 is found in around 30% of AML and clinically presents with leukocytosis, high blast percentage and extramedullary involvement. Considered as a "gate-keeper" mutation, NPM1 appears to be a "first hit" in the process of leukemogenesis and development of overt leukemia.

Background And Aims: COVID-19 forced healthcare systems to implement telehealth programs, facilitated in Massachusetts by a policy requiring insurers to reimburse for telehealth visits. Prior studies suggest that telehealth is effective for obstetric care, but little is known about its implementation in response to policy changes in underserved communities. We utilized the RE-AIM framework to evaluate telehealth implementation in a large academic urban obstetric practice that serves a medically underserved population.

Background: The combination method for cervical ripening with a Foley catheter and concurrent oxytocin administration has been shown to reduce the total time from induction to delivery when compared with a Foley catheter only in patients with an unfavorable cervix (Bishop score of <6). It is unclear if this is still effective for patients with a less favorable cervix as indicated by a Bishop score of ≤3.
Objective: This study aimed to determine if inducing labor with a Foley catheter and concurrent oxytocin administration reduced the total time from induction to delivery in subjects with a Bishop score of ≤3 compared with those who only received a Foley catheter without oxytocin for cervical ripening.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common arrhythmia in patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) undergoing transcatheter mitral valve repair (TMVR). In this systematic review, we aimed to investigate the outcomes of TMVR using MitraClip in AF patients. We performed a systematic search using PubMed, SCOPUS, EMBASE, and Google Scholar, from inception to May 10, 2020, for studies that reported outcomes following MitraClip, in patients with AF versus without AF.

Introduction: Uncertainty regarding reperfusion of mildly-symptomatic (minor) large vessel occlusion (LVO)-strokes exists. Recently, benefits from reperfusion were suggested. However, there is still no strong data to support this.

Purpose Of Review: The acute myeloid leukemia (AML) treatment landscape has rapidly evolved over the past few years. These changes have several implications for the care of older adults (≥ 60 years), who have inferior clinical outcomes. We review decision-making in older adults, focusing on patient- and disease-related factors.

Background: Falling is the most common cause of trauma in the geriatric population. To identify patients that were at-risk for falling, we implemented a provider-directed fall prevention screening initiative in the ambulatory setting of a large tertiary care referral center. We used three clinician-directed questions from the Stopping Elderly Accidents, Death and Injuries toolkit.

Objective: We sought to increase compliance and timeliness of surgery resident operative evaluation, by providing faculty and residents with a Platform-linking evaluation to analytics and machine-learning-facilitated case logging.
Design: We built a HIPAA-compliant web-based Platform for comprehensive management of resident education information, including resident operative performance evaluations. To assess evaluation timeliness, we compared the lag time for Platform-based evaluations to that of end-of-rotation evaluations.

Background: Surgical stabilization of rib fractures (SSRF) has become pivotal in the management of severe chest injuries. Recent literature supports improved outcomes and mortality in severe fracture and flail chest patients who undergo SSRF compared with nonoperative management (NOM). A 2014 National Trauma Data Bank review provided a point prevalence of 0.
