This paper studies the consensus problem for a class of unknown heterogeneous nonlinear multi-agent systems via a network with random packet dropouts. Based on the dynamic linearization technique, novel model-free adaptive consensus protocols with the data compensation mechanism are designed for both leaderless and leader-following cases. The advantage of this approach is that only neighborhood input and output data of the agents are required in the protocol design.

Lipid droplets (LDs) and lysosomes were dynamic organelles present in most eukaryotic cells that were interconnected and worked closely together to ensure the smooth physiological activities of organisms. The interaction between lipid droplets and lysosomes was thought to play a role in the development of certain diseases. In this paper we designed and synthesised a lipid droplet lysosomal probe.

The subcellular localization of messenger RNA (mRNA) not only helps us to understand the localization regulation of gene expression but also helps to understand the relationship between RNA localization pattern and human disease mechanism, which has profound biological and medical significance. Several predictors have been proposed for predicting the subcellular localization of mRNA. However, there is still considerable room for improvement in their predictive performance, especially regarding multi-label prediction.

The purpose of this work was to improve the adhesive properties of modified epoxy-novolac resin by acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) grafted poly(chromium methacrylate). Chromium methacrylate was prepared by reaction of basic chromium sulfate with sodium methacrylate. Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber grafted poly(chromium methacrylate) (GNBR) was successfully prepared by solution graft copolymerization to improve the adhesive properties of epoxy-novolac resin.

This investigation sought to understand how physical activity, sleep quality, and depression interrelate among university students in a particular region of China. It involved a diverse group of 2363 students from three institutions, using a cross-sectional approach with well-established measurement tools. These tools demonstrated strong reliability and validity, with Cronbach's alpha values indicating robust internal consistency.

Anthocyanins, a group of flavonoids, play diverse roles in plant growth and environmental adaptation. The biosynthesis and accumulation of anthocyanin are regulated by environmental cues, such as high light. However, the precise mechanism underlying anthocyanin biosynthesis under high light conditions remains largely unclear.

Objective: The integration of the health insurance fund pool may threaten the sustainability of the fund by increasing its expenditures through the exacerbation of the moral hazard of participations. The purpose of this paper is to assess and predict the impact of the single pool reform of China's Urban Employee Basic Medical Insurance (UEBMI) on the expenditure and sustainability of the health insurance fund.
Methods: In this paper, we consider the pilot implementation of the single pool reform in some provinces of China as a quasi-natural experiment, and develop a staggered DID model to assess the impact of the single pool reform on medical reimbursement expenditure.

DNA nanotechnology plays a crucial role in precise cancer medicine. Currently, molecular logic circuits are applied to detect tumor-specific biomarkers and control the release of therapeutic drugs. However, these systems lack self-learning capabilities for intelligent diagnostics in biological samples, and their data processing capabilities are limited.

The advent of multi-Microgrid (MG) energy systems necessitates the optimization of management strategies to curtail operational costs. This paper introduces an innovative MG energy management strategy that integrates Chaotic Local Search (CLS) with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to fulfill this requirement. Our approach leverages PSO for extensive global exploration and subsequently employs CLS to refine local searches, thereby ensuring the attainment of optimal global outcomes.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a prevalent malignant tumor of the digestive tract. Clinical findings reveal that the five-year survival rate for mid-to late-stage ESCC patients is merely around 20 %, whereas those diagnosed at an early stage can achieve up to a 95 % survival rate. Consequently, early detection is paramount to improving ESCC patient survival.

Knowledge graph (KG) noise correction aims to select suitable candidates to correct the noises in KGs. Most of the existing studies have limited performance in repairing the noisy triple that contains more than one incorrect entity or relation, which significantly constrains their implementation in real-world KGs. To overcome this challenge, we propose a novel end-to-end model (BGAT-CCRF) that achieves better noise correction results.

The effects of chickpea protein (CP) modified by heating and/or high-pressure homogenization (HPH) on the gelling properties of myofibrillar protein under reduced phosphate conditions (5 mM sodium triphosphate, STPP) were investigated. The results showed that heating and HPH dual-modified CP could decrease the cooking loss by 29.57 %, elevate the water holding capacity by 17.

Surface engineering techniques can be used to develop high-performance gas sensing materials and advance the development of sensors. In this study, we improved the gas sensing performance of two-dimensional (2D) WO nanoplates by combining surface Zn modification and the in situ formation of ZnWO/WO heterojunctions. Introducing Zn atoms by surface modification can reconstruct the atomic surface of 2D WO nanoplates, creating additional active sites.

Biomacromolecule hydrogels possess excellent mechanical properties and biocompatibility, but their inability to combat bacteria restricts their application in the biomedical field. With the increasing requirements and demands for hydrogel dressings, wound dressings with antibacterial properties of biomacromolecule hydrogels reinforced by adding antibacterial agents have attracted much attention, and related reviews are emerging. In this paper, the advances of biomacromolecule antibacterial hydrogels (including chitosan, sodium alginate, Hyaluronic acid, cellulose and gelatin) were first overviewed, and the antibacterial agents incorporated into hydrogels were classified (including metals and their derivatives, carbon-based materials, and native compounds).

Partial nitrification (PN) is a prerequisite step for the short-cut nitrogen removal process, which is crucial to provide stable nitrite accumulation for subsequent units. The present study innovatively proposed a new strategy for the rapid establishment of PN by adopting short-term anoxic starvation combined with high free ammonia inhibition. The sludge obtained from the secondary sedimentation tank of a municipal wastewater treatment plant was starved for 7 days under anoxic conditions, and then wastewater with high ammonia nitrogen (400 mg L) was introduced.

In this study, a pretreatment method based on a magnetic capture probe for the rapid isolation and enrichment of bacteria from raw pork was developed. The chitosan immobilized FeO@MIL-100(Fe) was prepared as a capture probe for total bacterial counts through the electrostatic interaction of positively charged chitosan and the negatively charged substances on the surface of bacteria. The interference of matrix in pork samples on this method was studied and removed by differential centrifugation.

The burgeoning electric vehicle (EV) market poses a substantial challenge to battery recycling systems, yet understanding EV battery recycling behavior from the demand side remains limited. Previous studies have analyzed perceptual or attitudinal factors, neglecting the observable attributes of EV battery recycling. To this end, we proposed a discrete choice model to investigate the differences between formal and informal recycling behaviors, identifying consumer preferences and willingness to pay.

Epoxy resins, as important thermosetting polymers, exhibit excellent adhesion to various substrates. In view of this, reticulate coating of triglycidyl isocyanate with triethylenetetramine was introduced onto the surface of poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) utilizing amine curing reaction to obtain poly(styrene-divinylbenzene)@triglycidyl isocyanate-triethylenetetramine composite microspheres. The amino groups and epoxy groups of triglycidyl isocyanate-triethylenetetramine endowed poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) with good reactivity, which could be quaternized under mild conditions to obtain an anion exchange chromatographic stationary phase.
