Bacterial canker disease caused by Clavibacter michiganensis is a substantial threat to the cultivation of tomatoes, leading to considerable economic losses and global food insecurity. Infection is characterized by white raised lesions on leaves, stem, and fruits with yellow to tan patches between veins, and marginal necrosis. Several agrochemical substances have been reported in previous studies to manage this disease but these were not ecofriendly.

Fluorescent cytotoxic compounds with readout delivery are crucial in chemotherapy. The growing demands of these treatment strategies require the novel heterocyclic molecules with better selectivity alongside fluorescence marker potential. In this context, a series of nine isatin Schiff base derivatives 4a-i were synthesized, characterized and evaluated for UV-visible, fluorescence, thermal and bioanalysis in order to explore the effect of structure on their bioprofiles.

The high theoretical energy density of Li-S batteries makes them a viable option for energy storage systems in the near future. Considering the challenges associated with sulfur's dielectric properties and the synthesis of soluble polysulfides during Li-S battery cycling, the exceptional ability of MXene materials to overcome these challenges has led to a recent surge in the usage of these materials as anodes in Li-S batteries. The methods for enhancing anode performance in Li-S batteries the use of MXene interfaces are thoroughly investigated in this study.

Background: Extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) without symptomatic pulmonary involvement has been thought to be non-transmissible, but EPTB with asymptomatic pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) could transmit tuberculosis (TB). Genomic investigation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) isolates from EPTB may provide insight into its epidemiological role in TB transmission.
Methods: Between January 2017 and May 2020, 107 Mtb isolates were obtained from surgical drainage of bone TB patients at the Beijing Chest Hospital, and 218 Mtb strains were isolated from PTB cases.

The aim of this work was to investigate the impact of nano selenium (N-Se) and compost on the growth, photosynthesis, enzymes activity, compatible solutes and metals accumulation in soybean grown under tannery effluent polluted soil. The plants were exposed to compost application (no compost and compost addition) and foliar application of N-Se (0, 25, 50, and 75 mg L). The results showed the addition of compost in soil and foliar applied N-Se alleviated the toxic effect of tannery effluent polluted soil.

The primary objective of this investigation was to assess the viability of free and encapsulated Lactobacillus plantarum probiotics in mango juice and under simulated gastrointestinal conditions. Specifically, the probiotics were encapsulated using sodium alginate and alginate-soy protein isolate through the internal gelation method, and the obtained probiotics were characterized for various attributes. Both free and encapsulated probiotics were exposed to challenging conditions, including thermal stress, low temperature, and simulated gastrointestinal conditions.

A complex fuzzy distance measure (CFDMs) plays a significant role in applications involving complex or high-dimensional data where traditional distance measures may not adequately capture the nuances of the data relationships. The significance of CFDMs lies in their ability to handle uncertainty, imprecision, and complexity in various domains. Numerous researchers introduced different concepts of CFDMs, yet these CFDMs fails to convey any information regarding the hesitancy degree associated with an element.

During plant-pathogen interaction, plant exhibits a strong defense system utilizing diverse groups of proteins to suppress the infection and subsequent establishment of the pathogen. However, in response, pathogens trigger an anti-silencing mechanism to overcome the host defense machinery. Among plant viruses, geminiviruses are the second largest virus family with a worldwide distribution and continue to be production constraints to food, feed, and fiber crops.

Breast and ovarian cancers, despite having chemotherapy and surgical treatment, still have the lowest survival rate. Experimental stages using nanoenzymes/nanozymes for ovarian cancer diagnosis and treatment are being carried out, and correspondingly the current treatment approaches to treat breast cancer have a lot of adverse side effects, which is the reason why researchers and scientists are looking for new strategies with less side effects. Nanoenzymes have intrinsic enzyme-like activities and can reduce the shortcomings of naturally occurring enzymes due to the ease of storage, high stability, less expensive, and enhanced efficiency.
