This study presents the synthesis and comprehensive characterization of an FeO-Gr/carbon/polypyrrole nanofiber composite, highlighting its morphology as determined through Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM) analysis, which reveals the small rod-like shape of the nano-fibers with an average diameter of 68 nm calculated from Image J software, contributing to a high surface area. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirms the effective formation of FeO-Gr nanofibers, graphene, carbon, and polypyrrole (PPy), showcasing distinct crystallographic phases that strengthen the material's magnetic and conductive properties. The impedance plane plot indicates two relaxation processes at low and high-frequency regions from low to high-temperature ranges of 273 K to 363 K, reflecting complex electroactive charge transport dynamics within the nanofiber composite.

Vacancy-ordered double perovskites (DPs) are emerging materials for spintronics due to their stable structures and non-toxic properties. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive investigation into the role of 4d electrons in Tc to understand their impact on the ferromagnetic properties of KTcY (Y = Cl, Br). We have employed a modified Back and Johnson potential to assess electronic and magnetic characteristics and utilized the BoltzTraP code to investigate thermoelectric effects.

Millions of people were infected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic, which left a huge burden on the care of post COVID-19 survivors around the globe. The self-reported COVID-19 symptoms were experienced by an estimated 1.3 million people in the United Kingdom (2% of the population), and these symptoms persisted for about 4 weeks from the beginning of the infection.

The protein encoded by this gene, along with its other binding partners, mediates the transport of newly-synthesized proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus.
Methods: A pan-cancer analysis of this gene, as well as its diagnostic and prognostic implications, are lacking in the medical literature.

One of the leading global causes of death is cancer; even though several treatment methods have improved survival rates, the incidence and fatality rates remain high. Naphthoquinones are a type of quinone that is found in nature and has vital biological roles. These chemicals have anticancer (antineoplastic), analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antimalarial, antifungal, antiviral, antitrypanosomal, antischistosomal, leishmanicidal, and anti-ulcerative effects.

The liver and kidneys are the vital organs of the body and perform important life-sustaining functions in the body. Synthetic drugs used in the treatment of liver and kidney diseases are sometimes inadequate and can lead to serious side effects. Medicinal herbs and plants were used to combat diseases for a long time and combination therapy is preferred over single plant therapy.

The genus Trichoderma is ubiquitous in various niches and is currently used for biocontrol, biofertilizer, enzyme production and bioremediation. However, molecular mechanisms underlying its diverse biological functions are yet not fully elucidated. Extraction of high-quality RNA for downstream applications such as quantitative polymerase chain reaction is a prerequisite.

Calcium, phosphate, and magnesium are essential nutrients for plant growth. The determination of these nutrients is an important task for monitoring them in a closed hydroponic system where the nutrient elements need to be individually quantified based on ion-selective electrode (ISE) sensing. The accuracy issue of calcium ISEs due to interference, drift, and ionic strength, and the unavailability of phosphate and magnesium ISEs makes the development of these ion detecting tools hard to set up in a hydroponic system.

Hypoxia is a prominent feature of head and neck cancer. However, the oxygen element characteristics of proteins and how they adapt to hypoxia microenvironments of head and neck cancer are still unknown. Human genome sequences and proteins expressed data of head and neck cancer were retrieved from pathology atlas of Human Protein Atlas project.

Objective: To compare the mean decrease in mouth opening by autologous blood injection in superior joint space with and without pericapsular tissue in the treatment of chronic recurrent temporomandibular joint dislocation.
Methods: The prospective study was conducted at the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, King Edward Medical University, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, from July, 2015, to January, 2016, and comprised patients, divided into two equal groups, having chronic temporomandibular joint dislocation. Group A patients were injected with autologous blood 2ml by 18-gauge single needle technique in superior joint space, while in group B patients, the needle was moved outward for 1cm and an additional 1ml of blood was injected in the pericapsular tissue under local anaesthesia in single setting after scrubbing local area with antiseptic solution.

The interactions between miRNAs and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are subject to intensive recent studies due to its critical role in gene regulations. Computational prediction of lncRNA-miRNA interactions has become a popular alternative strategy to the experimental methods for identification of underlying interactions. It is desirable to develop the machine learning-based models for prediction of lncRNA-miRNA based on the experimentally validated interactions between lncRNAs and miRNAs.

Background: The spices based dietary interventions are in lime light among the scientific community owing to their promising therapeutic perspective. The bioactive components in spices can be used to exert various health promoting functions in human body such as prompting weight loss, inhibit diet-induced obesity, hypercholesterolemia, hyperglycemia, allergies and various other maladies. In current study extraction and in vitro characterization of coriander seed (CS), black cumin seed (BCS) and fenugreek seed (FS) polyphenols was conducted for further development of dietary intervention against lipid and glycemia related abnormalities in experimental Sprague Dowley rats fed with control and different spice powder supplemented diets.

Kaempferol, a natural flavonoid present in several plants, possesses a wide range of therapeutic properties such as antioxidant, anticancer, and anti-inflammatory. It has a significant role in reducing cancer and can act as a therapeutic agent in the treatment of diseases and ailments such as diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, oxidative stress, asthma, and microbial contamination disorders. Kaempferol acts through different mechanisms: It induces apoptosis (HeLa cervical cancer cells), decreases cell viability (G2/M phase), downregulates phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/AKT (protein kinase B) and human T-cell leukemia/lymphoma virus-I (HTLV-I) signaling pathways, suppresses protein expression of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT)-related markers including N-cadherin, E-cadherin, Slug, and Snail, and metastasis-related markers such as matrix metallopeptidase 2 (MMP-2).

Background: Recently oxidative stress induced maladies have amplified owing to sedentary lifestyle and monotonous diet. Introduction of plant based biomolecules may be a suitable strategy to cope with the lipid peroxidation. In this context, black tea polyphenols (theaflavin & thearubigins) are in fame among the scientific community as cost effective therapeutic agents owing to their safety, economics, structural diversity and ability to modulate various lipid peroxidation responses by halting the expression of different metabolic targets.
