: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that may have a significant impact on patients' quality of life. Alongside clinical scores, treatment goals include improvements in patients' quality of life, divided into its social, working and psychosocial life aspects. Indeed, psychological impairment should always be considered in the management of moderate-to-severe psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated disease that can be challenging to treat, especially in patients with severe disease or high body weight. Tildrakizumab is a monoclonal antibody which inhibits IL-23, approved for moderate-to-severe psoriasis with a standard 100 mg dose. A 200 mg dose may provide greater efficacy for patients over 90 kg or with high disease burden.

(1) Background/Objectives: Nail psoriasis (NP) is a chronic and difficult-to-treat disease, which causes significant social stigma and impairs the patients' quality of life. Moreover, nail psoriasis is a true therapeutic challenge for clinicians. The presence of nail psoriasis can be part of a severe form of psoriasis and can have predictive value for the development of psoriatic arthritis.

Introduction: This was an observational, retrospective, multicenter study, enrolling elderly patients (>65 years old) treated with ixekizumab with a diagnosis of psoriasis (PsO) and/or psoriatic arthritis (PsA) during the period 2020 to 2023.
Objectives: Efficacy of ixekizumab in elderly patients in the treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis.
Methods: We included 73 patients with psoriasis (32.

Introduction: Humoral factors and neural mechanisms play a central role in the pathogenesis of obesity and in weight loss following bariatric surgery. Although various hormones and adipokines, including ghrelin and resistin, are linked to obesity, studies analyzing the changes in fasting ghrelin and resistin levels in patients following one anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB) are lacking.
Aim: The authors aimed to investigate resistin and ghrelin levels before and after two commonly used bariatric procedures with different mechanisms of action: sleeve gastrectomy (SG) and OAGB.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a complex and heterogeneous skin disease for which achieving complete clinical clearance for most patients has proven challenging through single cytokine inhibition. Current studies integrate biomarkers and evaluate their role in AD, aiming to advance our understanding of the diverse molecular profiles implicated. Although traditionally characterized as a T2-driven disease, extensive research has recently revealed the involvement of T1, T17, and T22 immune pathways as well as the interplay of pivotal immune molecules, such as OX40, OX40 ligand (OX40L), thymic stromal lymphopoietin, and IL-33.

Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a rare, chronic, and severe skin disorder characterized by the eruption of non-infectious pustules on an erythematous background often associated with systemic symptoms. It may appear in association with plaque psoriasis or occur in previously healthy individuals. It differs from psoriasis vulgaris in clinical presentation, immunopathogenesis, histology, and therapeutic strategies.

Background: Lentigo maligna/lentigo maligna melanoma (LM/LMM) is usually diagnosed in older patients, when lesions are larger. However, it is important to detect it at an earlier stage to minimize the area for surgical procedure.
Objectives: To determine and define clinical, dermoscopic and reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) features of LM/LMM in patients < 50 years old.

The nano-LC technique is increasingly used for both fast studies on enantiomeric analysis and test beds of novel stationary phases due to the small volumes involved and the short conditioning and analysis times. In this study, the enantioseparation of 10 drugs from different families was carried out by nano-LC, utilizing silica with immobilized amylose tris(3-chloro-5-methylphenylcarbamate) column. The effect on chiral separation caused by the addition of different salts to the mobile phase was evaluated.

Effective cancer screening detects early-stage tumours, leading to a lower incidence of late-stage disease over time. Dermoscopy is the gold standard for skin cancer diagnosis as diagnostic accuracy is improved compared to naked eye examinations. As melanoma dermoscopic features are often body site specific, awareness of common features according to their location is imperative for improved melanoma diagnostic accuracy.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic, neurodegenerative movement disorder, whose symptoms have a negative impact on quality of life and functionality. Although its main treatment is pharmacological, non-pharmacological aids such as the dynamic elastomeric fabric orthosis (DEFO) merit an evaluation. Our objective is to assess the DEFO in upper limb (UL) functional mobility and in the quality of life of PD patients.

In the last decades, Mars has been widely studied with on-site missions and observations, showing a planet that could have hosted life in the past. For this reason, the recent and future space missions on the red planet will search for traces of past and, possibly, present life. As a basis for these missions, Space Agencies, such as the European Space Agency, have conducted many experiments on living organisms, studying their behavior in extraterrestrial conditions, learning to recognize their biosignatures with techniques remotely controllable such as Raman spectroscopy.

Epidemiological evidence has confirmed the potential causal relationship between specific dietary factors and non-communicable diseases. However, currently nutrition was shown to be insufficiently integrated into medical education, regardless of the country. Without an adequate nutrition education, it is reasonable to assume that future physicians, as well as other health care professionals, will be not able to provide the highest quality care to patients in preventing and treating non-communicable diseases.

Background: Dermoscopy and Reflectance Confocal Microscopy (RCM) features of scalp melanoma according to lesion location and histopathology have not been fully investigated.
Objectives: To reveal dermoscopic and RCM features of scalp melanoma according to lesion location and histopathology.
Methods: We retrospectively retrieved images of suspicious, atypical excised, flat melanocytic lesions of the scalp, assessed on dermoscopy and RCM at five centres, from June 2007 to April 2020.

A 9-year-old male patient, with an ultrasonography diagnosis of horseshoe kidney condition, was referred to our hospital for recurrent urinary tract infection. He was submitted to Tc-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid sequential scintigraphy that demonstrated urine stasis in the calyces of both kidneys and was also suggestive for 8-shaped right-to-left crossed-fused renal ectopia. A subsequently performed Tc-dimercaptosuccinic acid scan confirmed the diagnosis of crossed renal ectopia, also disclosing, through single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) acquisition, cortical uptake defects in both kidneys, and indicative of renal scarring due to recurrent pyelonephritis.
