Dengue is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus (DENV) and is a serious global burden. Antibody-dependent enhancement and the ability of DENV to infect immune cells, along with other factors, lead to fatal Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever and Dengue Shock Syndrome. This necessitates the development of a robust and efficient vaccine but vaccine development faces a number of hurdles.

The development of an efficient, safe, and environment-friendly technique to terminate tuber dormancy in potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) is of great concern due to the immense scope of multiple cropping all over the globe. The breakage of tuber dormancy has been associated with numerous physiological changes, including a decline in the level of starch and an increase in the levels of sugars during storage of freshly harvested seed potatoes, although their consistency across genotypes and various dormancy-breaking techniques have not yet been fully elucidated.

ZnO is a potential candidate for providing an economic and environmentally friendly substitute for energy storage materials. Therefore, in this work, Fe-doped ZnO nanostructures prepared using the microwave irradiation procedure were investigated for structural, morphological, magnetic, electronic structural, specific surface area and electrochemical properties to be used as electrodes for supercapacitors. The X-ray diffraction, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy images, and selective-area electron diffraction pattern indicated that the nanocrystalline structures of Fe-doped ZnO were found to possess a hexagonal wurtzite structure.

Magnetic nanoparticles of NiFeO were successfully prepared by utilizing the sol-gel techniques. The prepared samples were investigated through various techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dielectric spectroscopy, DC magnetization and electrochemical measurements. XRD data analysed using Rietveld refinement procedure inferred that NiFeO nanoparticles displayed a single-phase nature with face-centred cubic crystallinity with space group Fd-3m.

To meet the growing demand for efficient and sustainable power sources, it is crucial to develop high-performance energy storage systems. Additionally, they should be cost-effective and able to operate without any detrimental environmental side effects. In this study, rice husk-activated carbon (RHAC), which is known for its abundance, low cost, and excellent electrochemical performance, was combined with MnFeO nanostructures to improve the overall capacitance of asymmetric supercapacitors (ASCs) and their energy density.

This study examines the uranium, fluoride, and nitrate dispositions in groundwater as well as potential health risks in Kota district, Rajasthan, India. Total 198 groundwater samples were collected in both dry and wet periods and analyzed for physicochemical parameters along with U, F, and NO using standard methods. Results indicate that the electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, total hardness, alkalinity, Ca, Mg, HCO, Cl, NO, and F exceed the WHO standard limits of drinking water in both periods.

CeXO (X: Fe, Mn) nanoparticles, synthesized using the coprecipitation route, were investigated for their structural, morphological, magnetic, and electrochemical properties using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission transmission electron microscopy (FE-TEM), dc magnetization, and cyclic voltammetry methods. The single-phase formation of CeO nanoparticles with FCC fluorite structure was confirmed by the Rietveld refinement, indicating the successful incorporation of Fe and Mn in the CeO matrix with the reduced dimensions and band gap values. The Raman analysis supported the lowest band gap of Fe-doped CeO on account of oxygen non-stoichiometry.

Different rare-earth (RE) metal-oxides nano-particles (NPs) viz. Samarium (III) oxide (SmO), Neodymium (III) oxide (NdO), and Gadolinium (III) oxide (GdO) were synthesized using co-precipitation route, and investigated by structural, optical, and morphological studies. Findings and supporting studies were presented to understand the role of RE-metal-oxides NPs as photo-anode material for dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) applications.

In the present work, Cu-doped ZnO nanostructures (Cu% = 0, 1, 5) have been prepared using microwave-assisted chemical route synthesis. The synthesized nanostructures were investigated through structural, morphological, optical, and magnetic characterizations. The results of the X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and selective area electron diffraction (SAED) patterns confirmed that all of the samples exhibit the single-phase polycrystalline hexagonal crystal structure.

The nanoparticles of CeO, CeFeO, and CeFeCuO were synthesized using the co-precipitation-synthesis technique. The effect of co-doping of Fe and Cu on structural, optical, and magnetic properties as well as specific capacitance have been studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning-electron microscopy (SEM), UV-visible spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, dc magnetization, and electrochemical measurements at room temperature. The results of the XRD analysis infer that all the samples have a single-phase nature and exclude the formation of any extra phase.

The paper presents the design, development and investigative studies into the use of a solar hot case/food warmer. The solar hot case can prove to be highly useful to the persons who carry hot food to their workplaces for lunch and eat it 4-5 h later. It can help keep food warm and infection free, by maintaining the food at an elevated temperature.

Potentially active and eco-friendly solid acid catalysts have been synthesized by loading different weight percentages (10, 15, and 50) of nickel oxide on thermally activated Turkish perlite through the deposition-precipitation method. Structural features of prepared catalysts were analyzed using BET surface area analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope (SEM), SEM-EDX, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), pyridine adsorbed FT-IR, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) techniques. Pyridine adsorbed FT-IR analysis confirmed the presence of the optimum amount of Bronsted acidic sites in a catalyst having 15 wt.
