A highly sensitive and selective electrochemical sensor was developed using a surface modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) through molecularly imprinted polymerization on the surface of vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMS) coated magnetic nanoparticle (FeO) decorated silver nanoparticles incorporated graphene oxide, GO (VTMS-FeO/AgGO) for L- Tyrosine (Tyr) detection. A molecular imprinting technique based on free radical polymerization was applied to synthesize molecularly imprinted Methacrylic acid (MAA) and Acrylamide (AA) grafted VTMS-FeO/AgGO polymer (MAA/AA-g- VTMS-FeO/AgGO) designated as MIP and non-imprinted polymer (NIP). The structure and morphology of the prepared polymers were FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM and VSM.

Nonlinear optical (NLO) switchable materials play a crucial role in the fields of electronics and optoelectronics. The selection of an appropriate switching approach is vital in designing such materials to enhance their NLO response. Among various approaches, thermos-switching materials have shown a 4-fold increase in NLO response compared to other photo-switching materials.

Plant genome editing, a recently discovered method for targeted mutagenesis, has emerged as a promising tool for crop improvement and gene function research. Many genome-edited plants, such as rice, wheat, and tomato, have emerged over the last decade. As the preliminary steps in the procedure for genome editing involve genetic transformation, amenability to genome editing depends on the efficiency of genetic engineering.

The burgeoning human population has resulted in an augmented demand for raw materials and energy sources, which in turn has led to a deleterious environmental impact marked by elevated greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, acidification of water bodies, and escalating global temperatures. Therefore, it is imperative that modern society develop sustainable technologies to avert future environmental degradation and generate alternative bioproduct-producing technologies. A promising approach to tackling this challenge involves utilizing natural microbial consortia or designing synthetic communities of microorganisms as a foundation to develop diverse and sustainable applications for bioproduct production, wastewater treatment, GHG emission reduction, energy crisis alleviation, and soil fertility enhancement.

Adipose tissue is the major storage site of lipids and plays a vital role in energy homeostasis. Adipogenesis is a well-regulated process wherein preadipocytes differentiate into adipocytes. It requires the sequential activation of numerous transcription factors, including peroxisome proliferator activated receptor-γ (PPAR-γ).

A new crystalline form of Schiff base, -cyclohexyl-1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)methanimine (CHADMB) was obtained from methanolic solution of cylohexylamine and (methylvanillin) 3,4dimethoxybenzaldehyde. Single crystal X-ray diffraction study reveals that the compound crystallized in monoclinic crystal system with space group having four molecules per unit cell ( = 4). Hirshfeld surface (HS) analysis and 2D fingerprint plots reveals that weak non-covalent interactions are responsible for crystal packing.

This study aims to investigate the relationship between renewable energy and ecological footprint during the period of 1994-2018 from selected developing countries in Europe (Czechia, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Romania, and Turkey). In this context, the ecological footprint (EF), which has recently been the most widely used environmental indicator in the literature and is known as the most comprehensive because it includes many environmental factors, has been determined as the dependent variable. As independent variables, renewable energy consumption (REC), energy-related tax revenue (ETR), and energy productivity (EP) are included in the model.

Objectives: During anesthesia, the response to these stimuli depends on the balance between nociception and antinociception. Recently, various monitoring systems based on the variables derived from electroencephalography, plethysmography, autonomic tone, reflex pathways, and composite algorithms have been introduced for monitoring nociception. The main aim of our study was to evaluate and correlate the physiological variables which reflect the autonomic nervous system response to nociception, such as heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), perfusion index (PI), and nociceptive response index (NRI), with the spectral entropy indices response entropy (RE) and RE-state entropy (SE), which reflects electromyographic (EMG) activation as a response to pain.

Background: The process of transdifferentiating epithelial cells to mesenchymal-like cells (EMT) involves cells gradually taking on an invasive and migratory phenotype. Many cell adhesion molecules are crucial for the management of EMT, integrin β4 (ITGB4) being one among them. Although signaling downstream of ITGB4 has been reported to cause changes in the expression of several miRNAs, little is known about the role of such miRNAs in the process of EMT.

In recent times, the herbicide atrazine (ATZ) has been commonly used before and after the cultivation of crop plants to manage grassy weeds. Despite its effect, the toxic residues of ATZ affect soil fertility and crop yield. Hence, the current study is focused on providing insight into the degradation mechanism of the herbicide atrazine through bacterial chemotaxis involving intermediates responsive to degradation.

27-hydroxycholesterol (27-HC) is a cholesterol metabolite and the first discovered endogenous selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that has been shown to have proliferative and metastatic activity in breast cancer. However, whether 27-HC metabolite modulates the epigenetic signatures in breast cancer and its progression remains unclear. The current study, reports that 27-HC represses the expression of euchromatic histone lysine methyltransferase G9a, further reducing di-methylation at H3K9 in a subset of genes.
