Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of erector spinae plane block (ESPB) as a rescue therapy in the recovery room.
Materials And Methods: This single-center historical cohort study included patients who received either ESPB or intravenous meperidine for pain management in the recovery room. Patients' numeric rating scale (NRS) scores and opoid consumptions were evaluated.
Metastatic melanoma is a fatal disease with a rapid systemic dissemination. Almost every organ might be affected, but lungs, liver, bone, brain, and skin are the most frequently involved sites. Intravascular microtumoral embolism is believed to account for the distant cutaneous metastases that might be the first manifestation of disease progression in most of the cases.

Diaphragmatic injuries either by blunt or penetrating trauma require prompt surgical intervention and are often exigent to repair. N-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (n-butyl-2-CA) is a tissue adhesive which has gained wide application in many areas of surgery including emergency. To repair the extensive injuries of the diaphragm it may be necessary the use of synthetic mesh by fixing it with sutures or staples.

Gas seeps emanating from Yanartaş (Chimera), Turkey, have been documented for thousands of years. Active serpentinization produces hydrogen and a range of carbon gases that may provide fuel for life. Here we report a newly discovered, ephemeral fluid seep emanating from a small gas vent at Yanartaş.

This study aimed to examine the associations between mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK), Akt, and topoisomerase II expression and other well established clinical and pathological prognostic factors in patients with breast cancer. A total of 42 women with breast cancer who underwent anthracycline based chemotherapy were included in this retrospective study. Immunohistochemical methods were utilized to examine the expression of phosphorylated MAPK (pMAPK), phosphorylated Akt (pAkt), HER-2/neu and topoisomerase IIα (topo IIα) in tissue blocks.

Hydatid cysts may be found in almost any part of the body, but most often they are found in the liver and lungs. Other organs that are occasionally affected include the brain, muscle, kidney, heart, pancreas, and adrenal and thyroid glands. We report a case of hydatid cyst of the adrenal gland.
