Background: Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is common immediately after orthotopic heart transplantation (OHT), though the expected outcomes of TR over time remain undefined. In this study, we examined the natural trajectory of TR in the first 120 days post-transplantation. We observed the clinical phenotypes of trajectories of TR after OHT, and assessed trajectory correlation with 1-year mortality and degree of right ventricular (RV) dysfunction.

EWSR1::BEND2 Adenocarcinoma with Hyaline Pseudorosettes of the Trachea.

We describe the novel occurrence of a adenocarcinoma involving the trachea, with distinct solid and glandular components, in a 34-year-old patient. We illustrate its morphological and immunophenotypic features and describe the molecular finding of an EWSR1::BEND2 gene fusion detected by next-generation sequencing (NGS). We discuss the findings in comparison to BEND2-fusion associated neoplasms reported in the head and neck region in the literature to date.

Background: Unintentional falls are the greatest cause of injury-related hospitalisation in adult patients. Frailty is an important contributor to fall risk and poor outcomes in both midlife and older adult trauma patients. Despite this, the incidence of frailty remains understudied among midlife adults, and the CDC fall screening guidelines are limited to older adults.

Purpose: This scoping review aimed to explore the use of volitional voice tasks in assessing swallowing-related outcomes and to evaluate their therapeutic impact on swallowing disorders, including their effects on swallowing biomechanics.

Method: This scoping review was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews guidelines. A literature search was performed across multiple databases (PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus), and additional records were identified through manual searches.

Background: Olaparib (OLA) and regorafenib (REG) are metabolized by the CYP3A4 isoenzyme of cytochrome P450. Infective endocarditis (IE) is a life-threatening condition with increasing global incidence, primarily caused by , especially methicillin-resistant strains (MRSA). Biofilm formation by is a critical factor in pathogenesis, contributing to antimicrobial resistance and complicating the treatment of infections involving prosthetic valves and cardiovascular devices. Biofilms provide a protective matrix for MRSA, shielding it from antibiotics and host immune defenses, leading to persistent infections and increased complications, particularly in cases involving prosthetic materials.

Implantable Neuromodulation for Neurogenic Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction: A Single-Institution Retrospective Study.

Purpose: Neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD) is highly prevalent among patients with neurologic disorders. Some studies have demonstrated that implantable neuromodulation can improve symptoms of NLUTD. We seek to describe our experience with sacral and pudendal neuromodulation in patients with NLUTD.
