Introduction: Hemodialysis (HD) patients have increased risk for short-term adverse outcomes of COVID-19. However, complications and survival at the post-COVID-19 period have not been published extensively.

Methods: We conducted a national, multicenter observational study that included adult maintenance HD patients recovered from confirmed COVID-19.

Prevalence of Anosmia in 10.157 Pediatric COVID-19 Cases: Multicenter Study from Turkey.

Introduction: COVID-19-related anosmia is a remarkable and disease-specific finding. With this multicenter cohort study, we aimed to determine the prevalence of anosmia in pediatric cases with COVID-19 from Turkey and make an objective assessment with a smell awareness questionnaire.

Material And Methods: This multicenter prospective cohort study was conducted with pediatric infection clinics in 37 centers in 19 different cities of Turkey between October 2020 and March 2021.

Background: Health care workers, including surgical professionals, experienced psychological burnout and physical harm during the coronavirus 2019 pandemic. This global survey investigated the coronavirus 2019 pandemic impact on psychological and physical health.

Methods: We conducted a global cross-sectional survey between February 18, 2021 and March 13, 2021.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the mastoid emissary vein (MEV) canal incidence and to identify its relationship with jugular bulb (JB) and sigmoid sulcus anatomical variations.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 1,300 patients with temporal bone computed tomography (CT) scans in January 2016 to March 2020. The presence and the diameter of the MEV canal, and the anatomical variations of the sigmoid sulcus and the JB were reviewed by two radiologists.

Effects of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring parameters on left ventricular mass index in hypertensive children.

Objective: We aimed to evaluate the effects of blood pressure (BP) values obtained by 24-h ambulatory BP monitoring (ABPM) of hypertensive children and adolescents on left ventricular mass index (LVMI).

Methods: Patients diagnosed with HT with BP measurements confirmed with ABPM and evaluated with echocardiography for LVMI were included. The patients were divided into two groups according to their BMI as obese and nonobese.

Predictors of Symptomatic Hemorrhage After Endovascular Treatment for Anterior Circulation Occlusions: Turkish Endovascular Stroke Registry.

We evaluated the predictive factors of symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (SICH) in endovascular treatment of stroke. We included 975 ischemic stroke patients with anterior circulation occlusion. Patients that had hemorrhage and an increase of ≥4 points in their National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) after the treatment were considered as SICH.

Adherence to Compression Garment Wear and Associated Factors Among Patients with Breast Cancer-Related Lymphedema: A Pilot Study from a Turkish Tertiary Center.

Compression garments are the basis of the maintenance phase of the breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) treatment. The aim of this study is to investigate the adherence to compression garment wear and the associated factors among patients with BCRL. Patients who received standard therapy and training on compression garment wear from a single center were asked to fill out a 28-item questionnaire on compression garment wear.

Evaluation of D-dimer levels measured by different analytical methods in COVID-19 patients.

Clinicians experience some challenges due to the lack of standardization of test, although D-dimer is a prognostic marker for COVID-19. We compared the clinical and analytical performances of D-dimer results obtained from different devices, kits and methods in patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19. Thirty-nine patients with a diagnosis of COVID-19 and 24 healthy individuals were included in the study.

Evaluation of demographic and clinical characteristics of female patients presenting with MINOCA and differences between male patients: A subgroup analysis of MINOCA-TR registry.

Objective: Although the prevalence and rate of myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries (MINOCA) are higher in women than in men in previous cohorts, potential demographic and clinical differences between women who are diagnosed with MINOCA versus myocardial infarction with obstructive coronary arteries (MIOCA) have not been studied till date. In this study, we aimed to document these characteristics and to compare them between female patients with MINOCA and MIOCA.

Methods: The study was a subgroup analysis of the MINOCA-TR study.

Splenic infarct in a COVID-19 patient under anticoagulant therapy with normal D-dimer levels.

Background: Many studies have shown that COVID-19 can progress with coagulopathy and multisystemic thrombotic events. We report a patient who presented with abdominal pain after COVID-19 and was found to have splenic infarction (SI) concomitant with acute myocardial infarctus (MI) under anticoagulant treatment.

Case Presentation: A 45-year-old man was admitted to the emergency department with left-sided abdominal pain radiating through to his back persisting for one day.

COVID-19 has affected humanity not only physically but also mentally. It was expected to have impact on high-risk groups such as the immunocompromised patients and parents/caregivers of them. Our study was aimed to investigate the COVID-19 related anxiety, post-traumatic stress levels, and sleep-related parameters of the parents of children with primary immunodeficiency.

The effect of vitamin D deficiency in children with overactive bladder related urinary incontinence.

Purpose: Overactive bladder (OAB) is a common syndrome associated with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), especially urinary incontinence in children, which may affect the patient's quality of life (QoL). Vitamin D deficiency has been shown to be associated with OAB syndrome. This study evaluated the relationship between vitamin D status and OAB-related symptoms and QoL in children.

Experiences in the molecular genetic and histopathological evaluation of calpainopathies.

Calpainopathy is mainly characterized by symmetric and progressive weakness of proximal muscles. Ischemia modified albumin levels in intrauterine growth restriction: levels are increased in fetal cord blood but not in maternal blood.

Objectives: In this study, our aim was to determine the differences between intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) and normal birth weight fetuses in terms of ischemia modified albumin (IMA) levels. For this purpose, we measured ischemia modified albumin levels in the cord blood of fetuses and venous blood of mothers.

COVID-19 associated multisystemic inflammatory syndrome in 614 children with and without overlap with Kawasaki disease-Turk MIS-C study group.

Unlabelled: Multisystemic inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) diagnosis remains difficult because the clinical features overlap with Kawasaki disease (KD). The study aims to highlight the clinical and laboratory features and outcomes of patients with MISC whose clinical manifestations overlap with or without KD. This study is a retrospective analysis of a case series designed for patients aged 1 month to 18 years in 28 hospitals between November 1, 2020, and June 9, 2021.
