This study examines the critical success factors (CSFs) crucial for the effective deployment of public-private partnership (PPP) models in sustainable housing projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), underpinning the nation's Vision 2030. Through a robust methodology that incorporates a profound literature review, structured interviews, and a survey involving key stakeholders, the study prioritizes fourteen significant CSFs integral to PPP efficacy. Employing Analytical Hierarchy Process analysis, key outcomes underscore the paramount importance of technical aspects with an emphasis on sustainability, tailoring risk-sharing and allocation to encompass green technologies and eco-friendly practices, and economic stability in the light of long-term environmental sustainability in fostering successful sustainable housing projects.

The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 brought significant challenges for Native Hawaiians (NH), Pacific Islanders (PI), and other communities of color worldwide. Rapidly increasing rates of infection and transmission of the virus in Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities and incomplete or unavailable data signaled to Hawai'i's leaders that advocacy and action needed to take place to minimize the impact of COVID-19. The Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Response, Recovery, and Resilience team (NHPI 3R Team) emerged from an effort to lead and fill gaps in response to COVID-19.

The Coronavirus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic had a profound impact on colorectal cancer (CRC) screening and diagnostic testing. During the initial months of the pandemic, there was a sharp decline in colonoscopies performed as many areas were on lockdown and elective procedures could not be performed. In later months, even when routine procedures started being scheduled again, some patients became fearful of contracting COVID during colonoscopy or lost their health insurance, leading to further delays in CRC diagnosis by colonoscopy.

The present research explores the role of positive emotion norms and positive illusions in explaining the higher subjective well-being observed among Europeans compared to East Asians in Canada. Specifically, we investigate the underlying psychological mechanisms contributing to the prevalence of positive self-views among individuals with European backgrounds, characterized by individualism, versus those with East Asian backgrounds, associated with collectivism. Our study compares Europeans and East Asians in Canada to determine whether cultural norms regarding positive emotions account for the elevated positive self-views and subjective well-being in Europeans.

The utility of a universal DNA 'barcode' fragment (658 base pairs of the Cytochrome C Oxidase I [COI] gene) has been established as a useful tool for species identification, and widely criticized as one for understanding the evolutionary history of a group. Large amounts of COI sequence data have been produced that hold promise for rapid species identification, for example, for biosecurity. The fruit fly tribe Dacini holds about a thousand species, of which 80 are pests of economic concern.

While genome-wide association studies and expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) analysis have made significant progress in identifying noncoding variants associated with prostate cancer risk and bulk tissue transcriptome changes, the regulatory effect of these genetic elements on gene expression remains largely unknown. Recent developments in single-cell sequencing have made it possible to perform ATAC-seq and RNA-seq profiling simultaneously to capture functional associations between chromatin accessibility and gene expression. The biphenyl molecule (CH) acts as a fundamental molecular backbone in the stereoselective synthesis of organic materials due to its inherent twist angle causing atropisomerism in substituted derivatives and in molecular mass growth processes in circumstellar environments and combustion systems. Here, we reveal an unconventional low-temperature phenylethynyl addition-cyclization-aromatization mechanism for the gas-phase preparation of biphenyl (CH) along with -, -, and -substituted methylbiphenyl (CH) derivatives through crossed molecular beams and computational studies providing compelling evidence on their formation bimolecular gas-phase reactions of phenylethynyl radicals (CHCC, XA) with 1,3-butadiene- (CD), isoprene (CHC(CH)CHCH), and 1,3-pentadiene (CHCHCHCHCH). The dynamics involve de-facto barrierless phenylethynyl radical additions submerged barriers followed by facile cyclization and hydrogen shift prior to hydrogen atom emission and aromatization to racemic mixtures (, ) of biphenyls in overall exoergic reactions.
