Bloodstream infections (BSI) are frequent complications after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT). This study reports data on pre-engraftment BSI in years 2016-2021 and analyses changes in incidence, aetiology, resistance and mortality compared with two previous periods (2004-2009 and 2010-2015). In years 2004-2021, 1364 patients received HCT.

Introduction: Psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) are chronic inflammatory diseases with significant overlap in their immunologic pathways, which involve cytokines such as tumor necrosis factor-alfa, interleukin (IL)-17, and IL-23. Current treatment options for HS are limited, as only adalimumab and secukinumab are approved for severe cases. Given the overlapping pathogenetic features between HS and psoriasis, anti-IL-17 and anti-IL-23 drugs could represent valuable treatments for the management of HS.

Introduction: Approximately half of patients affected by psoriasis are women, and the management of female patients of childbearing age is an under-investigated topic. Some studies have shown a significant decrease in births in psoriatic patients due to intimacy and pregnancy avoidance and to potential birth complications.
Objectives: We sought to evaluate data on reproductive health in a cohort of female patients, to compare them with similar data in the general population and to assess the impact of psoriasis, especially genital psoriasis, on pregnancy desire and the prevalence of psoriasis in the children of patients with psoriasis.

Rationale: Doravirine (DOR) is an attractive new option both for ART-naïve people with HIV (PWH) and those with suppressed HIV-RNA who seek treatment simplification. We used real-world data to examine the pattern of use of DOR-containing regimens in these settings.
Methods: All PWH enrolled in the Icona cohort after January 2020 who initiated a three-drug regimen (3-DR) with DOR or an integrase inhibitor (INSTI)-based regimen as first antiretroviral therapy (ART) or when switching ART, with HIV-RNA ≤50 copies/mL, were included.

Background: In recent years, theranostics has become a promising approach for treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), with trials investigating targeted radioligand therapy, particularly using prostate-specific membrane antigen labeled with lutetium-177 ([Lu]Lu-PSMA). The proper position of [Lu]Lu-PSMA in the therapeutic algorithm of mCRPC is yet to be identified.
Design, Setting, And Participants: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of phase II/III randomized controlled trials to assess the efficacy of [Lu]Lu-PSMA in treating mCRPC.

Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has recently enabled to identify four distinct Alzheimer's disease (AD) subtypes: hippocampal sparing (HpSp), typical AD (tAD), limbic predominant (Lp), and minimal atrophy (MinAtr). To date, however, the natural history of these subtypes, especially regarding the presence of subjects switching to other MRI patterns and their clinical and biological differences, remains poorly understood.
Objective: To investigate the clinical and biological underpinnings of longitudinal atrophy pattern progression in AD.

Purpose: The described evolution in prenatal and postnatal periods appears to support the hypothesis that the torcular pseudomass (TP) is probably a physiological, highly frequent and transient developmental finding. Neverthless, it remains to be determined whether TP has any relation with the final anatomy of the adjacent venous sinuses or any anatomic variants. We aimed to explore the relation of the TP with the adjacent dural venous anatomy/anatomic variants in the prenatal period, using MR angiography (2D TOF MRA).

Background: Bowel endometriosis is one of the more severe manifestations of deep endometriosis; it may cause pain and intestinal symptoms. The noninvasive diagnosis of bowel endometriosis is of crucial importance in planning the management of patients affected by this condition.
Objectives: This review aims to describe how transvaginal ultrasonography (TVS) is performed in patients with suspicion of rectosigmoid endometriosis, the diagnostic performance, and the strengths and limitations of this technique.

Background: Few studies on multiple sclerosis (MS) have explored the variability of percentage brain volume change (PBVC) measurements obtained from different clinical MRIs. In a retrospective multicentre cohort study, we quantified the variability of annualised PBVC in clinical MRIs.
Methods: Clinical MRIs of relapse-onset MS patients were assessed by icobrain.

: Bowel endometriosis (BE) is characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue within the muscular layer of the bowel wall. When BE does not result in the severe obstruction to fecal transit and in the absence of (sub)occlusive symptoms, the decision to perform surgery can be challenging, as intestinal procedures are associated with higher complication rates and long-term bowel dysfunction. This cross-sectional study aims to evaluate the quality of life (QoL) in patients with BE who avoided surgery, as well as to investigate the impact of the characteristics of BE nodules on the QoL and intestinal function.

Autoimmune encephalitis (AE) is an immune-mediated condition that induces brain inflammation due to several neural-specific autoantibodies. The main triggering and predisposing factors are infections, genetics, the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors and tumors. We report a case of a 57-year-old male with a biopsy-confirmed Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) and a concomitant anti-LGI1 encephalitis discussing a possible relationship in the pathogenesis of these phenomena.

Purpose: Developmental venous anomalies are a rare cause of obstructive hydrocephalus in the pediatric population. In this study, we present the most extensive case series of DVA-induced obstructive hydrocephalus in the pediatric population. We thoroughly describe the imaging findings related to this uncommon entity and comprehensively discuss its clinical presentation and management strategies.
