Objective: This study aimed to investigate the plasma and milk pharmacokinetics, as well as the withdrawal time (WT) from milk of tolfenamic acid (2 and 4 mg/kg) following intravenous (IV) administration to eight healthy lactating Akkaraman sheep.
Methods: The trial was conducted in two periods in accordance with a crossover pharmacokinetic design. The concentrations of tolfenamic acid in the plasma and milk were determined using high-pressure liquid chromatography and evaluated using non-compartmental analysis.

Background: The pandemic caused by the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) has affected the mental health of the general population, leading to an increase in depression, anxiety and stress. The results of the studies on the psychological effects of the pandemic in patients with psychiatric illnesses were contradictory in that some reported higher adverse effects in patients with psychiatric illnesses compared to the healthy control subjects, whereas some did not. Thus, the aim of this study is to compare the patients with a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder and the healthy control subjects in terms of certain psychological parameters during the pandemic period.

Objective: The number of studies conducted on the evaluation of retinal microvascularity in patients with Bipolar Disorder (BD) is very few. Therefore, in the present study it was aimed to provide a significant diagnostic support and to better understand the relationship between BD and vascular changes by making vascular measurements with Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography (OCTA).
Method: The statistical analysis was performed by comparing OCTA measurements of 48 eyes of 48 euthymic patients followed up with a diagnosis of BD and in remission for at least 6 months, and 45 eyes of 45 age-matched healthy volunteers in the control group.

Tardive dyskinesia (TD) is a serious side effect that manifests itself mainly with choreiform and athetotic movement disorders, and generally occurs in the long term during antipsychotic treatments and is generally irreversible. We report a 67-year-old female patient having a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder (BD) for 25 years, receiving 1200 mg/day lithium monotherapy for 10 years and in remission. The patient had been showing signs of TD-like syndrome for the last 6 months.

Acute exposure to high doses of glucocorticoids (GCs) may potentially increase the basal levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) by altering the defence capacity against oxidative damage. Also, antioxidants may affect the oxidative breakdown of tissues. Therefore, the aim of this work was to determine the effects of dietary intake vitamin E and selenium (Se) on lipid peroxidation (LPO) as thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) and on the antioxidative defence mechanisms in the brain of rats treated with high doses of prednisolone.

In this study, it was aimed to determine dose-dependent interactions between phenolic contents and antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal effect mechanisms of the infusions of Thymus haussknechtii Velen, naturally grown in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. Therefore, the infusions of Thymus haussknechtii were tested and the interactions between phenolic contents and antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal effect mechanisms were determined by way of different antioxidant, antibacterial and antioxidant test systems. The concentrations of Thymus haussknechtii showed strong hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity and free radical scavenging activity [1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazil (DPPH) % inhibition].
