Influence of Green Human Resource Management on firm's environmental performance: Green Employee Empowerment as a mediating factor.

This research aimed to investigate the mediating function of Green Employee Empowerment (GEE) in the relationship between Green Human Resource Management practices (GHRM) and the environmental performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana, drawing on the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) theory. This study assessed the hypotheses in the established research model using structural equation modeling based on data collected from 320 participants from small and medium-sized firms in Ghana. The study's results revealed that GHRM practices were significantly correlated with the firm's environmental performance.

The impact of the free trade zones construction on green technological innovation efficiency --evidence from 288 cities in Chinese.

We measure the green technology innovation efficiency of 288 cities in China from static and dynamic dimensions using the model and index, and employ "Difference in Difference" (DID) model to evaluate the impact of FTZs construction on green technology innovation efficiency using panel data from 288 prefecture-level cities from 2008 to 2020. The findings show: (1) The FTZs significantly improve green technology innovation efficiency. The decomposition indexes promote the green technology innovation efficiency more from the dynamic productivity dimension (GTFP) functioning on technological advancement.

This study investigates the impact of macroprudential policies on ecological footprint (EF) in the top 11 largest countries. This study uses country-level panel data from these countries, covering the period from 1992 to 2020. Findings indicate that macroprudential policies alleviates ecological footprint in the sample.

Unlocking employee innovative behavior: the role of humble leadership, core self-evaluation, and leader-member exchange.

Humble leadership has gained attention in recent years due to its potential impact on employee performance. This study explores the association between humble leadership and follower innovative behavior by investigating the moderating role of core self-evaluation (CSE) and the mediating role of leader-member exchange (LMX). The study uses data from 328 followers and their immediate leaders to test a mediated moderation model.

The Spillover Effects of the Spouse's Retirement on Depression: Evidence From Chinese Middle-Aged and Older Adult Couples.

Objectives: The present study expands on previous research by examining whether the spouse's retirement affects individual depression both directly, by the changes in individual health investment, and indirectly, through the social interaction effect of the couples' depression.

Methods: Using the panel data from the 2010-2018 China Family Panel Studies, we investigate the direct and indirect spillover effects of the spouse's retirement on depression among Chinese urban-worker couples (men aged 50-70, women aged 40-60; n = 10,466). To address the potential endogeneity and reflect the social interaction effect of the couples' depression, we combine the Fuzzy Regression Discontinuity method with simultaneous equations.

The influence of biased technical progress on employment scale of the circulation industry: Evidence from China.

As a leading industry in the national economy, circulation industry can not only guide production and consumption, but also play a vital role in absorbing employment. With the progress of science and technology, technical change has penetrated into the circulation industry of China, which has not only improved its development, but also affected its employment. This paper uses the standardized supply-side system approach to measure the biased technical progress of circulation industry in China and investigates the influence of the biased technical progress index on the employment scale of circulation industry in China with panel regression model.

Research on financing countermeasures of online game SMEs based on the identification of intangible assets information.

As an important part of the cultural industry, small and medium-sized online game enterprises undertake the functions of technological innovation, employment absorption and cultural cultivation. However, the lack of credit ability restricts the financial development of such enterprises. To solve the financing problem of online small and medium-sized game enterprises, this paper firstly uses the information of intangible assets to identify their credit ability, and considers that the information of intangible assets is a problem worthy of attention in evaluating credit risk.

Spatial-temporal differentiation of urban eco-efficiency and its driving factors: A comparison of five major urban agglomerations in China.

This paper utilizes an improved undesirable output DEA model to measure the eco-efficiency of cities in five major urban agglomerations in China during 2006-2020. It employs the Theil Index and Geodetector to investigate the spatial-temporal distribution differentiation characteristics and driving factors of urban eco-efficiency. The main findings are as follows.

A short-term forecasting method for photovoltaic power generation based on the TCN-ECANet-GRU hybrid model.

Due to the uncertainty of weather conditions and the nonlinearity of high-dimensional data, as well as the need for a continuous and stable power supply to the power system, traditional regression analysis and time series forecasting methods are no longer able to meet the high accuracy requirements of today's PV power forecasting. To significantly improve the prediction accuracy of short-term PV output power, this paper proposes a short-term PV power forecasting method based on a hybrid model of temporal convolutional networks and gated recurrent units with an efficient channel attention network (TCN-ECANet-GRU) using the generated data of an Australian PV power station as the research object. First, temporal convolutional networks (TCNs) are used as spatial feature extraction layers, and an efficient channel attention network (ECANet) is embedded to enhance the feature capture capability of the convolutional network.

Hemorrhage induced by antithrombotic agents: new insights from a real-world pharmacovigilance study.

Background: Hemorrhage represents the most common and serious side effect of antithrombotic agents. Many studies have compared the risk of bleeding between different antithrombotic agents, but analysis of time-to-onset for hemorrhage induced by these drugs is yet sparse.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study based on the adverse drug reaction reports on antithrombotic agents collected by the Henan Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center.

Spatiotemporal mapping of rice acreage and productivity growth in Bangladesh.

Technological advancements have long played crucial roles in rice productivity and food security in Bangladesh. Seasonal variation over time and regional differences in rice production, however, pose a threat to agricultural sustainability but remain unexplored. We performed a spatial-temporal mapping of rice cultivation area, production, and yield from 2006-2007 to 2019-2020 using secondary data for disaggregating 64 districts in Bangladesh.

Predicting the multivariate zero-inflated counts: A novel model averaging method under Pearson loss.

Excessive zeros in multivariate count data are often observed in scenarios of biomedicine and public health. To provide a better analysis on this type of data, we first develop a marginalized multivariate zero-inflated Poisson (MZIP) regression model to directly interpret the overall exposure effects on marginal means. Then, we define a multiple Pearson residual for our newly developed MZIP regression model by simultaneously taking heterogeneity and correlation into consideration.

Revisiting the relationships between energy consumption, economic development and urban size: A global perspective using remote sensing data.

Existing methods of measuring energy consumption require complex statistics and computing. A real-time and globally applicable approach for comparing energy consumption across different cities is still lacking. Additionally, the nonlinear relationships and varying thresholds of energy consumption in relation to economic activities and urbanization remain unconfirmed.

In the context of developing economies, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has long been acknowledged for its potential to stimulate economic growth. However, with the evolving understanding of development encompassing not only economic prosperity but also environmental and social well-being, the impact of FDI on sustainable development has become a subject of increasing importance and complexity. To shed light on this multifaceted relationship, our study empirically investigates the causal link between FDI and sustainable development in a panel of 48 African economies spanning the period from 1990 to 2020.

A Chinese model for legal regulation of Gene-Edited endangered animals and plants.

The application of gene editing technology in the field of endangered plant and animal conservation has innovative and prospective value in saving endangered plant and animal populations, but it also poses challenges to the ecological environment and bioethical norms. Gene editing has impacted China's animal and plant protection legal system, and this study aims to provide solutions for China to regulate gene editing of endangered plants and animals. The study concludes that China should enact specific legislation on gene editing of endangered plants and animals, abide by the concept of biosafety, and aim to maintain biodiversity and ecological balance; under the supervision of the ecological and environmental departments, the regulation of gene editing of endangered plants and animals should adopt a hybrid model of "combining the product and the process", and establish a system of registration, labeling, and responsibility.

Frozen inactivated autograft replantation for bone and soft tissue sarcomas.

Background: The frozen inactivation of autologous tumor bones using liquid nitrogen is an important surgical method for limb salvage in patients with sarcoma. At present, there are few research reports related to frozen inactivated autograft replantation.

Methods: In this study, we retrospectively collected the clinical data of patients with bone and soft tissue sarcoma treated with liquid nitrogen-frozen inactivated tumor bone replantation, and analyzed the safety and efficacy of this surgical method.

Multi-scenario PM2.5 distribution and dynamic exposure assessment of university community residents: Development and application of intelligent health risk management system integrated low-cost sensors.

Exposure scenario and receptor behavior significantly affect PM2.5 exposure quantity of persons and resident groups, which in turn influenced indoor or outdoor air quality & health management. An Internet of Things (IoT) system, EnvironMax+, was developed to accurately and conveniently assess residential dynamic PM2.

Linking to the development of economic growth with digital financial inclusion and supply chain management in China.

Much research demonstrates the positive effects of financial inclusion and digital finance on expansion. Supply chains that can be relied upon are essential to national productivity and economic development. This study uses panel data from 2007 to 2022 covering 27 provinces in China to study the results of widespread access to digital financial services and supply chain management on regional economic growth using the instrumental variable approach (fixed effect model).

The effect of renewable energy on carbon emissions through globalization.

The sustainability of the environment debate cannot be addressed without considering the type of energy to use. The pace at which the world is industrializing, globalizing, and developing economically has prompted many researchers to investigate the kind of energy required to preserve the environment. In this regard, this study employs the mediation model to assess renewable energy's direct and indirect effects on carbon emissions through globalization.

The impact of market-based environmental regulation on corporate ESG performance: A quasi-natural experiment based on China's carbon emission trading scheme.

At present, there are few studies exploring the impact of market-based environmental regulation on ESG performance based on the perspective of carbon emission trading scheme (CETS). This paper aims to supplement this research field through empirical analysis. Taking Shanghai-Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2012 to 2022 as the research object, this paper studies the impact of CETS, a market-based environmental regulation tool, on the ESG performance of enterprises by constructing a time-varying DID model and examines the mediating roles of green technology innovation, agency cost and analyst attention.
