Nasal medications hold significant importance and are widely utilized due to their numerous advantageous properties, offering a compelling route for both local and systemic therapeutic effects. Nowadays, the development of nasal particles under 1 micrometer is in the focus of much scientific research. In our experiments, the use of innovative nanotechnology to increase the effectiveness of the active substance was of paramount importance.

Background: Research on the immune mechanism behind chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) has revealed various new endotypes, leading to targeted therapies, especially for severe uncontrolled CRS. Biologics are novel therapeutic strategies providing targeted treatment for the difficult-to-treat recalcitrant CRSwNP patients. Dupilumab is a fully human-derived monoclonal antibody that binds to IL4Rα, inhibiting the signalling of both IL-4 and IL-13.

Introduction And Importance: Buschke-Löwenstein tumor (BLT) is a rare perianal lesion caused by low-risk mucosal HPV 6 or 11 but less frequently associated with high-risk HPV types. It is a large, exophytic, verrucous lesion of the anogenital region. BLT presents as a benign tumor but exhibits malignant clinical behavior and has a high rate of local recurrence and malignant transformation.

Introduction And Importance: Ganglioneuromas are extremely rare, slow-growing, benign tumors that arising from Schwann cells, ganglion cells, and neuronal or fibrous tissue. Their malignant degeneration occurs very rarely, complete surgical removal is recommended to eliminate possible symptoms or to prevent possible malignant transformation. Reviewing the literature, there is currently insufficient data available on laparoscopic resection of retroperitoneal ganglioneuromas.

Recently, liquid biopsy, as a promising approach was introduced for the analysis of different tumor-derived circulating markers including tumor DNA and cell free DNA (ct/cfDNA). Identification of mutations in cfDNA may allow the early detection of tumors, as well as predicting and monitoring treatment responses in a minimally invasive way. In the present study, we used commercially available gene panels to verify the mutation overlap between liquid biopsy and abnormalities detected in colorectal tumor tissue.

Background: Solithromycin is a new macrolide-ketolide antibiotic with potential effectiveness in pediatric community-acquired bacterial pneumonia (CABP). Our objective was to evaluate its safety and effectiveness in children with CABP.
Methods: This phase 2/3, randomized, open-label, active-control, multicenter study randomly assigned solithromycin (capsules, suspension or intravenous) or an appropriate comparator antibiotic in a 3:1 ratio (planned n = 400) to children 2 months to 17 years of age with CABP.

West Nile Virus (WNV) infection is a world-wide zoonotic disease transmitted by mosquitoes. The infection is usually self-limiting; however, elderly patients or those with comorbidities are predisposed to developing severe, and sometimes fatal complications of the infection. Recently, the incidence of WNV infection in Europe had seen a sharp increase, as compared to previous years.

A Patients: Because of the past 3 decades' extensive research, several disease modifying therapies became available, thus a paradigm change is multiple sclerosis care was necessary. In 2018 a therapeutic guideline was created recommending that treatment of persons with multiple sclerosis should take place in specified care units where the entire spectrum of disease modifying therapies is available, patient monitoring is ensured, and therapy side effects are detected and treated promptly. In 2019 multiple sclerosis care unit criteria were developed, emphasizing personnel and instrumental requirements to provide most professional care.

Objectives: According to international observations, the incidence of clinical autopsies is declining worldwide, plummeting below 5% in the USA and many European countries. It is an unfavourable trend as, in 7%-12% of cases, recent clinicopathological studies found discrepancies that might have changed the therapy or the outcome if known premortem. As previous large-scale observations have examined varied patient populations, we aimed to focus on the differences between the clinical and pathological diagnostic findings in only patients who had a stroke.

Background: Residual neuromuscular block at the end of surgery may compromise the patient's safety. The risk of airway complications can be minimized through monitoring of neuromuscular function and reversal of neuromuscular block if needed. Effective reversal can be achieved with selective relaxant binding agents, however, sugammadex is the only clinically approved drug in this group.

To examine the uterine cavity and/or to perform hysteroscopic surgery, one has to access the uterine cavity through the cervix, distend the cavity with a fluid (liquid or gas) to visualize it with a telescope and/or a camera system and use energy (mechanical or thermal) to affect and/or remove tissue. Distension of the uterine cavity then is an important component of hysteroscopy, and during the last century, numerous attempts have been made to achieve an undistorted and unobstructed panoramic view of the uterine cavity. In order to achieve this goal, the uterine cavity has been distended with fluids using a variety of techniques, including gravity-assisted systems, pressure cuffed systems, and electronic pumps.

This study aimed at evaluating the pain experienced during office hysteroscopy, with selective tubal cannulation and chromopertubation, by women with and without tubal obstruction in order to determine if such condition would be associated with increased pain during the examination. Women with a history of infertility underwent in-office hysteroscopy with selective chromopertubation using a continuous flow office hysteroscope with a 5 Fr operating channel fitted with a 4 Fr catheter for the injection of methylene blue dye. Experienced pain was recorded on a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) during diagnostic hysteroscopy after access to the uterine cavity.

Aim: To minimize the experienced pain during office hysteroscopy, a number of technical approaches and maneuvers are used. The aim of the study was to assess the effect of suprapubic pressure (SuPuP) applied during hysteroscopy. The impact of this maneuver on experienced pain (assessed by visual analog scale [VAS]) and duration of passage through the cervical canal was measured and compared to a reference group with no SuPuP.
