Clinical Scenario: Individuals with patellofemoral pain (PFP) present with a variety of neuromuscular and psychological deficits, with the "gold-standard" for treatment being rehabilitation programs with strengthening-based exercises. While such interventions primarily target pain and function measures, it is unknown whether psychological measures such as fear-avoidance beliefs (FABs) are also affected.
Clinical Question: Is rehabilitation including strengthening exercises effective in improving FABs in individuals with PFP?
Summary Of Key Findings: Three studies met the inclusion criteria and were included in the appraisal.

Actin is essential for the survival and pathogenicity of the Apicomplexan parasite Toxoplasma gondii, where it plays essential functions in cargo transport, invasion, egress, and organelle inheritance. Recent work has shown that, unlike vertebrate skeletal muscle actin, purified T. gondii actin filaments (TgAct1) can undergo rapid treadmilling, due to large differences in the barbed- and pointed-end critical concentrations, rapid subunit dissociation from filament ends, and a rapid nucleotide exchange rate constant from free monomers.

We describe the design and performance of a magnetic bottle electron spectrometer (MBES) for high-energy electron spectroscopy. Our design features a 2 m long electron drift tube and electrostatic retardation lens, achieving sub-electronvolt (eV) electron kinetic energy resolution for high energy (several hundred eV) electrons with a close to 4π collection solid angle. A segmented anode electron detector enables the simultaneous collection of photoelectron spectra in high resolution and high collection efficiency modes.

Methods: In 2021, 22 trainings were offered to community members in partnership with the Ohio Governor's RecoveryOhio initiative to 22 Ohio counties with high numbers of overdose deaths.

We present a dataset of plant hydraulic and structural traits imputed for 55,779 tree species based on TRY plant trait dataset observations and phylogenetic relationships. We collected plant trait values for maximum stomatal conductance (gs), xylem pressure at 12%, 50%, and 88% conductance loss (P12, P50, P88), maximum observed rooting depth (rd), photosynthetic Water Use Efficiency (WUE), maximum plant height (height), Specific Leaf Area (SLA), and leaf Nitrogen content (LeafN). We demonstrated that each of these traits exhibited remarkably large phylogenetic signals across all land plants.
